LFerg1, 2004 Mustang GT, Comp Orange, Twin Turbo build
ok so here it goes i started out in mustangs with a 99 mustang gt that got the full treatment motor transmission S/C fuel system blah blah blah. All was good and well but during the breakin miles a deer jumped out in front of me and totaled the car so good time to change the setup again lol i have problems making up my mind.
Ok so now the build thread begins i bought a 2004 comp orange mustang GT bone stock with 5000 miles and made the decision to destroy it Motor: Dss 5.0 stroker short block (built with an aluminum 3v block), with ARP 2000 rod bolts in H beam rods, main stud girdle and ARP main studs, forged pistons, Cometic head gaskets with Arp 2000 head studs and a moroso oil pan. Up top is 2v cylinder heads fully ported by dss racing with bronze guides, 1 mm oversized stainless intake and exh valves with crower springs, and crower stage 2 blower cams, typhoon intake manifold and bbk 78mm throttle body, MSD ignition coils. Drivetrain: promotion built 3650 5 speed with pro 5.0 shifter. Clutch is a Centerforce dyad twin disc, rear end is still stock for now will be gone through after the car has been dynoed. Fuel system: Return style with sumped tank, Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and Ford Racing 80lb fuel injectors. Tuning: will be with an Sct handheld, and vmp blow through maf, N2MB wot box/2 step. Power adder: Hellion twin turbo system with twin 61s Suspension: Front is Upr full tubular front, and the rear is all stock until after the dyno I have spent a fortune on this thing ![]() The build is still in progress 90% of the parts are already bought/in the process of ordering the only thing that im behind on is building the rear end ,sub frame connection and rear suspension, but all that will be finished before the car sees the track next spring.Power wise im hoping for somewhere between 750 and 850rwhp on 110 octane and high boost. ![]() Let me know what you guys think and ill post pictures soon so you guys can see the process/progress. |

the picture of the car on the ground with crazy wheel gap was from the weight loss from changing to the aluminum block, or at least that was the only thing i could figure.

Nice build man! I'm building a turbo v6 stroker myself and used scat h beam rods with 3/8" arp2000 rod bolts.
There was aguy a while back that went 750rwhp with twin 54mm turbo's so you should have no problemb making 850rwhp with 61's. The guys name was dirtybird91 I believe. Where you at in va? I'm in radford but work in Salem.

Good deal man, sounds like you'll know how to build em in your town lol. If you'll ever run those cars up this way or at motor mile dragway give me a shout.
