Thanks guys! tire, notched pin, and all the other parts showed up today. Cant wait to get home and open up all my christmas goodies! hahaha

Really hoping to have the car rolling by the end of the weekend!

My biggest hiccup right now is trying to find a 99-04 2v engine wiring harness.

Well, the Rolling on Christmas goal was a success!! Friday night i disassembled the rear end to install the notched cross pin in the yukon differential. Managed to get that done, and re-shim the dif. Then Christmas eve after the boys laid down i went back to the kitchen, and finished the axle build. I was on a roll so i decided to go ahead and install the axle while i was at it. 2:30 am on christmas morning i installed the wheels and rolled her out of the garage.

Then the boys went to their moms house christmas morning for a while so i took my pressure washer and cleaned out my entire garage to get ready for the powertrain install and pushed the car back into her stall.

While i was laying under the car christmas eve i heard some noise coming from the living room, as i came around the corner i saw this guy going out of the front door. I was barely able to snap this picture as he walked out the door. The boys were amazed to see it!

So, around 4 weeks ago the transmission in my jeep shelled out. The dealership was going to replace it, but ended up "rebuilding it". I got it back last week and on the drive home shelled the trans again. The trans pump was acting up when it first happened, and they didnt work on the pump when they rebuilt it. I was extremely pissed, so the're putting a NEW trans in this time. In the mean time they've given me a brand new van to drive around (i actually kind of dig the van! haha).

But santa knew i was missing my jeep, so when i went outside on christmas morning he had tried to make the van into a jeep for me!

Well, this weekend was nice and productive! For starters my jeeps trans went out a month or so ago, and I finally got the new one put in this past week.

So what better way to test the new trans then by driving 180 miles round trip for a wrecked mustang!!

So at this point it's mid 20 degrees, and I broke out the sawzall and cut the whole core support out of the new car.

And suddenly, the engine and trans are out! Hahah

I literally bought this whole car for the engine/trans harness so I can splice and make a new harness for my 4v to work with.

Luckily, I picked the whole car up for the same price I'd have paid for the wiring. And now I can sell off some of the parts! Plus, it came with a ton of the little odds and ends I was needing.... like a clean cowl panel, driver side mirror, little skirt for front fender, inner fenders, etc...

Then tonight started installing the new Scottrod panels. They aren't even in yet and I'm already in love with the way it looks!

Well, had sick kids all week, which meant I couldn't go to work. Buuuuut, on the plus side that meant I could spend some time in the garage.

Got the timing cover and the coil covers painted. And did some more welding on the scottrod panels.

I then built me a little dolly and dropped the front suspension onto it, and set the trans on. I'm planning on bolting the engine/trans/headers/k member all together and rolling it under the front of the car.

Then tonight my buddy came over and it motivated me to finish sanding the engine bay. Which then led to me priming and painting the engine bay. Now she's ready for the 4v to go in!

Well, went out and split the whole engine harness. Tracked all the wiring down to where it belongs. Then decided what wires went into the valley and which ones stayed on top.

Hoping to finish wiring it up tomorrow. Then the engine/trans/front k are going in the car this weekend hopefully!

Looks like you will have this done in no time!! How much boost do you plan to run on the stock setup? I'm curious what it will make for power since I am planning a very similar setup with a built bottom end.

Vortech v3, 3.33" Pulley, CX Racing FMIC, DIY Power Pipe, SAE Corrected: 404rwhp/397rwtq @10psi and 16* of timing

Hit a small hiccup this morning with the car. Grabbed my flywheel to take it in for resurfacing. Only to find that the flywheel i've got in the garage is an 8 bolt, the crank in the current engine is a 6 bolt.

So i've got to try and come up with a clean 6 bolt flywheel by this weekend or i wont be installing it quite yet.

As for the boost, this spring i will be running n/a to make sure all my wiring and everything is done correctly.

I've started gathering parts for my twin turbo build. One of these parts is a second Teksid block, which im forging. So I actually wont be running any boost on the stock 4v thats in the car now. Its more or less using the stock one for a shake down on the wiring and to drive the car around on while forging the second 4v.

My goal when i picked the car up was to have it running in 6 months. So thats the end of march. I think i'm right on track to having it running by then. Knock on wood.

Got the fuel system figured out tonight! (I hope) hahaha

Well, I'm hoping this works?! I'm using the stock 96-98 cobra rails, cut the return line off, welded over it. Then cut and drilled new holes in the mount where the regulator was, and made my fps fit in its place.

Stock 96-98 cobra rails (return style)

Stock 99-04 fuel rails (returnless style)

Figuring out how the fps would sit on the regulator mount.

Cut the return line off at the main block, and then welded everything shut.

I loaned out my dremel tool, so I decided to do the cutting and grinding by hand.

And here is how the fuel pressure sensor fits on the rail now.

Well, she's in! Spent most of the evening friday putting clutch/flywheel/trans onto the motor, then putting that assembly onto the K member (i built a roller to go under the k and trans cross member)

Then rolled the whole thing under the car and bolted it in! Unfortunately this is how the car will sit for the next month or two. I've gone a little over board with spending and need to re-coop some cash for a little bit.

still have to order cold air intake, pullies, shifter, tuner, and a few other odds and ends. Still hoping to be running by the end of March.

So after taking almost a month off from working on the car i decided its time to get back at it. Or more like, the police informed me it was time to get back at it. I had set a goal to have the car running by the end of march. It made it to where i HAD to go work on the car, rather then wanting to go work on it. So i bolted everything together and rolled it out of the garage. After being parked outside almost a month the police said the neighbors were complaining about an abanoned vehicle. So i rolled it back into the garage.

While not working on it, i picked up a complete dark charcoal interior, adjustable front and rear shock/struts, tinted tails, tinted 3rd, a new flywheel, exceedy clutch, and a few other goodies.

Still need to order the cold air intake, the pullies, tuner, short shifter, little things like that. But I'll do those one piece at a time.
