And this is why everyone that has no skills at driving, or has a car that can't launch, wants to race via roll. Anytime I hear "lets go from a roll" I immediatly know that 1. He's afraid of said car he is racing. 2. He can't shift/launch 3. Car sucks from a dig.

I believe that the launch/start is every bit part of a race as the finish. There is no skill involved with simply hitting the gas more. And most of the people that brag about beating a car more than likely faster than they are, are usually talking about street 'races" that the other guy may have not been racing.

both car communities have their share of ppl who think their cars is the shit with no idea about how any other car performes. or can give no reason why their car is so good (no name but ive seen one in this thread.)

if you mean interior wise that is a matter of personal opinion. both cars have cheap plastic interior parts. both cars will rattle and rub over bumps and at high speeds. i find the mustang seats not so comfortable and i love the srt4 seats. they both have what ppl classify at "rental" interiors.

I wont discuss cars or make said statements unless I know about them. Mustangs and Neons I know about. These guys really just ...I am not sure if it's ignorance, or insecurity.

Skittles are hell to launch with no tire, its really hard get them going without spinning!
I could def. get my mustang out of the hole harder!
But on a side note when my buddy got a limited slip or whatever and few more bolt ons on his srt4 murdered me from a dead stop...

Depends on the mustang. Especially a GT with a leather interior. I was actually speaking about FIT and Finish. The GT is just put together over all a bit better. I am a HUGE Neon/SRT fan too. So don't mistake me for someone that doesn't know about them, or is smacking on them. I was hanging out on Neon boards back in 97. I remember when the first rumors of SRTs came out. Their interiors are as bad as stock Neons, but they aren't much better. But then again, SRT-4s aren't meant to be luxury vehicles. They are basically Neons with PT Cruiser internals. I am glad the 2nd year got the LSD though. That is what a lot of 1st gen drivers put as their first mod. The SRT without a limited slip is pretty squirrelly.

I am seriously thinking about purchasing a 2nd year SRT-4 for my wife.

Yeah the SRT with a LSD is a ton better. The first year was the only year they didn't come with a LSD.

Things that are stock and a no-brainer in a GT were an afterthought with the SRT it seems.

That and half of the "races" aren't really races. Like I said, I rarely if ever race anyone on the street. Most of the time I just stop them from being able to pass me. In this situation they are going to be ahead of me by a car length. I can see certain people seeing this as a race, and that they beat me. It's just not so.

Also, if you go and do a drive by really fast, to get someone to race via roll, you have the starting advantage, and was ready than your opponent. Some people don't care about being fair. They just wanna make a lot of noise and "look" cool.

15 post and already a TROLL!
What a exaggerated post. I'd love to see those 13.5 times on a stock SRT-4. I wont go into the fact where he claims he can kill any GT with a stock SRT-4. If the GT had a better driver in it, he's toast. What cracks me up is, he made said statements, then called ME a troll! AHAHHA

He needs humbled.

not saying your wrong cause ive had some close calls with ditches and gutters, but at the track if you launch about 1500 and feather the clutch in 1st then get on it you will run great

true enough. Most people with skittles (and mustangs alike) are kids with little to no seat time. I see those things switch lanes off a street launch all the time. lol

One of the reasons I have waited till I was in my 30s to get a fast car. I have plenty of experience in the shifting driving category. My only concern is the RWD in the snow..

that is why you buy a beater car. I picked up a Jeep wrangler 5 spd 4x4 for $2,200.

A SRT-4 with a turbo and intercooler basically matches a stock 2v GT in speed. How is it going to beat a GT if the GT puts a turbo in it? (Same mods) It's not going to even come close.

Exactly. Mod for Mod an SRT isn't going to pull a GT. No way, no how.
