ehh i like the dash and center console... the stock seats are very uncomfortable, to the point that i love my fiberglass buckets better lol

but the plan is to take the back seats out and then theres no more bad interior lol, and for the record there arnt very many imports i like... im one of those people who will dog the hell out of someone with out a v8 lol
(not sayin its right but just the way i am) but i do respect a fast car still

theres only 5 imports that you would ever see me driving if i had to
1. mitsubishi gsx... or eagle talon tsi, preferably a talon tsi... im an ass
2. 34 skyline
3. a supra (last gen)
4. subaru sti (the bug eye)
5. a last gen rx7

dont ask whylol

I've trapped 104mph (not stock but with the stock power level of 228rwhp). Most trap 99-100.

Tis ok, we all do it. It's not nearly as bad as the people that did it in the thread I posted.

*sigh* More pretentious comments from the Celica crew.

Someone made a thread about their hood scoop (vent) being cracked. I made this comment that someone took in a defensive way.

They would probably break their hand in the process. Unless that scoop is very flimsy and brittle..
The reply/replies I got?

This was my reply to them

"however problems with the hood scoop aerodynamics forced a mid-generation addition of the Rally/Group A/RC edition. The Celica RC had a recessed hood vent instead of a hood scoop"

So Toyota could have did the recessed hood vent thing, but instead opted for the scoop because it was more visually attractive even though the recessed vent was more functional.

So like Ford with the NewEdge style, Toyota went with form over function.

And from what I read, it was a quick fix because of overheating problem blunder that they ran into.

"The hood vent was not on the prototype originally but later they added it because the passenger foot cabin overheats without airflow to that area."

In other words, Toyota found out it had a over-heating problem with the Celica. Instead of going back and fixing it, they did the "hood vent" as a quick/fix band-aid to save money. Instead of using a better/recessed vent, they opted for a fake hood scoop to cover the vent because it looked better.

NOT something I would be bragging about. IMHO.

Not that it really matters. Just making a point to the .. more bitter posters..

I love the Celica. It's the reason I registered back in 2003. I'll probably be helping my daughter buy one in the next year or so. (Why I am on here now)

And by posting above, I am not bashing the Celica. That would be kinda hypocritical of me if I was.
Lets see how the more bitter/reactionary posters respond.

It's always "I can bash your car all I want, but if you even say anything NEARLY negative about mine, I am going to call you names and flame because you hurt my ego"

*sigh*
