Interesting LS1 thread.
Mustang gt's?? - LS1 Performance Information
I think some of the LS1 talk was smack-talk. I know the NewEdge stangs aren't the FASTEST EVER.. but they act like they are Civics.. Some come in there and set things straight. But still. Notice they never talk about the 05+ Mustangs at all ![]() I've seen bolted on NEGTs keep up with LS1s just fine.

Its not that bad in there imo. It could be alot worse, like everyone talkin smack about mustangs. But there are people who know there stuff, or can google really good. I dont have an acct there and i probobly wont make one. But they need to realize there comparing certain models to other models. Thats why we have mach 1's and cobras that are just as good if not better than some of there ls1's.

Yeah I've seen worse. That is true. I just find it humorous about their total lack of comments about the 05+ Mustangs.

They talked about every Mustang from the 5.0 to the 04 Cobra. But nothing after.

You've seen people in here slam on the NewEdges worse here?
![]() As far as the LS1 cars, they get respect here. As far as I've seen.

Oh I am sure it happens. But this forum for the most part is pretty honest as far as cars go.

not really bad at all imo.
I just skimmed but to me it seems like they think that the 2Vs are not the best for an NA set up, but they sound amazing, and the 4Vs are much better for making power. A couple people that just dont know their stuff about Mustangs...but it seems like they admit they are not Mustang fans...i mean after all it is an LS1 thread ![]() Ive seen the 2V receive the same kind of treatment of this forum

This is kind of an old thread and I was just roaming through and I'll bite.
The topic was not the 05s+. If you really want to, do a search and I'm sure you'll find some 'smack talk' there. Maybe a stock LS1 from the 98-00 years where they made 320hp...but not a bolt-on LS1. I used to be an LT1 guy, I know the LS1 rag that goes on there too. I got an LS1 a few months back, 2001 WS.6, and with just bolt-ons it made 336rwhp and 348rwhp after the tune. The LS1 is fast and really, the only Mustang I should have a problem with is 03-04 Cobra or the GT500s. They are GOD. You can make any car fast if you put enough into it, but stock for stock that is where they stand and that was the point of the thread...in case you didn't know.

I'd watch out for 03-04 Mach1s too stock for stock between them and a LS1 Fody is a drivers rice.

The ratings are weird on the fbodys, mine was rated at 345 so go figure...
Machs are a good race for some and I think the mach just needs a good driver and they will put up a fight, imo better than the s197s... I will admit I absolutly murdered one from rolls, dead stops and all when my slomaro was stock. Then a buddy with a auto ls car done the same to the mach but every car is different. |
