you should be fine as long as hes not over doing that motor with boost!

im sorry but im a dsm guy through and through. You wont win with a stock GT. What has he done to his car? also is it from a roll or stop? Is it an AWD or FWD laser? what is a 12oz turbo? The stock laser comes with the 4g63t turbo motor with 14b turbo. He can safely turn his boost up to 15lb's i use to go hunting for mustangs back when i had my laser. but i had a Dlink, 3"exhaust and a 20g turbo on 24 psi. If its an AWD dont go from a stop def from a roll and be safe about it and good luck!!! If his laser is bone stock it will be a good run though

I raced a AWD turbo Talon from a dig. I was stock (well, had flowmasters for sound). I believe they have the same engine and are nearly the same car as the Laser.

I'm not sure what the bigger turbo does for him (or if it is a bigger turbo), but you should be good.

it shouldn't matter how far you run. If he is stock you should burn him pretty good. I have two lasers sitting in my garage. Look under his hood and make sure he doesnt have a boost controller. it will be between the jpipe and the turbo itself. Or he could have it teed in to the BOV line. Either way it will be hooked to a piece of vaccum line coming off of a nipple from the turbo. If he has the boost turned up he might get you. It doesnt take much to get alaser to go into the 12's just some fuel a little more boost and a 3" exhuast. have fun!!

last year i raced a talon, he was on stock turbo w/ boost controller and had up'd the boost when we raced and i edged him out by half a fender or so, very close race. all i had at the time was a o/r x-pipe, flowmasters and cai auto 2v

Yes, you should be able to beat him unless he is lying about mods. Or lack of them.

For some reason some people think if a car has boost, it can beat ANY car that doesn't.

BTW...

Is it REALLY that much harder to actually add the extra letters to make these words correct? I see a lot of Americans doing this. Not so much anyone else. I'd hate for the rest of the world to think we are a bunch of unedumicated people. Not that I really care what the "rest of the world" thinks. But still. I wont even go into the lack of capitalization and such.
