08 GT Vs. 10 SS Camero
I was at the track last night and I raced the new camero 6 speed which had a full exhaust, an intake he also had drag radials. I beat him 6 out 6 times. I have a Jlt intake, Off-road xpipe and Mickey thompsons with 3.31 gears. I ran a 13.88 and a 13.9 consistant. He ran a best of 14.09 and 14.4. He used the auto lauch with his 14.0 but I let him engage it which took like a whole minute.
I also took out a Srt-8 Challenger which was run 14.2s Elevation here is close to 5000ft so that is why the times are higher here.

I was getting 100.4-100.9 My 60 ft were 1.93. The Camaro was hitting 104. Tonight Ill be racing my uncle in his Camaro 2010 SS Automatic So Ill find out if those are more of a competition. Which I think it will not be due to the fact that his is bone stock.
I also raced a GTR which embarrassed me dramatically but it was all good He was running 11.3s in 5000 elevation!!!! I cant wait to get gears installed on my mustang Ill be able to shave off some time : )

Hey, I got almost the same setup as you minus the off road xpipe and m/t's and my best time is 14.6 on street tires and 3.55 gears. I was wondering if sticky tires would get me in the 13's. What was your best time with street tires?

With street tires I got 14.2 with 2.243 60ft. the x-pipe actually hurt me I was doing the same with out it. The m/t help but the track prep is worthless!! If you buy m/t you'd do better than me because I have 3:31's that hurts me.

That's a great time for street tires. Most s197 Stangs run mid to high 14's at our elevation. (The ones I've seen) Yes, the local track sucks without track prep. I always spin and most of the time I have to launch at idle. I gonna try those tires, I want to break the 13 second zone.

Must be a lot of LS1 owning pussies there then. LSx fbodies usually don't have anything to worry about when it comes to MOST Mustangs if they are modded.
I am looking for that to change in 2011 when the GT is faster than the Camaro stock for stock though. About freakin time.

nice kill man..and here at 5800 ft of elevation the new ss camaros are running around 14.7 with launch control and without breaking the tires loose..at last test and tune there were 5 of them there in a group, 4 of them were all stock with just a catback and cai..the only new maro that i saw to run a faster time than my fox, which was a 14.1, had long tube hearder, off road mid pipe, and a catback, along with cai, and had a dyno tune on it and he couldnt break even 13's lol...they got a lot of power, but are heavy as shit

Nice kills....the guy in the camaro needs to learn how to drive it sounds like. He has a mid 12 sec car if its the SS2 with his mods...if not lower.
