Yeah Vr4's are bad. If I could find one I would get it in a heartbeat.

To back up MKIV, I have personally seen STOCK WRXs run mid-low 14s at the track. I know for a fact that is accurate. The people you saw running 15s were either not driving a WRX or they couldn't drive.

I've seen stock GTs run 16 second 1/4 miles. Should I assume the car was incapable of going faster? No, the driver was.

a new gen mustang gt can get an sti after the 1/4 mile, it takes about 19 seconds but then the gt will pass the sti.

my gt with 4.10's, or/h, flowmasters, a cai and a brenspeed tune gets sti's in the 1/4 mile without much of a problem

-1, i see tons of stockish STI's and EVO's running right in and even behind GT times, unmodded ones are OVER rated

Are you talking newer GTs or 99-04's?

Either way with the same driver, an STI will beat a GT in the 1/4 mile

I've run against cars more modified than mine and have beaten them by a full second because the driver couldn't drive his damn car.

Either way, if you look at what the stock STI's run night in and night out at the strip, you'd be alot more confident racing these things, now granted if they have a boost controller, you're toast casue my buddy runs an 8.0 in the 1/8th with an 04 sti ... so fyi .. if you're sure they are stock .. def. go for it .. if you loose, it won't be by much ... Not to mention my mustang will always look better loosing than his will winning
