who would win in this my freind asked me to race him i have a 2000 V6 mustang so plz help here he has a 2001 VW Jetta

the biggest engine one could have is a 2.6 or 2.8 liter V6 so just say it is this one wut r my chances of beating it

i had a 97 mercury mystique and the speedo said i think 130......

do you actually think that a 4 cyl mystique can go that fast with out blowing up.....i don't

how fast the speedo goes isn't a good way to judge how fast the car is

yes the spedo says 160 but there limited to like 130, i think the 2.8 vr6's have like 179hp and around the same in tq and weigh 3300lbs but i dont know how much a v6 stang weighs. and what are both of your mods? i have a 1.8t and have only seen 145 of the 160 on the freeway. but just race him and see how it turns out.

the 911 porshe speedo says 360 at the end i believe or the bugatti..does it go there

With my car I beat my friends 07 gti from a rolling start from stop he walked me for a bit then he beat me by like 3 feet...

if its a 2.slow then you will smoke him those things are slow...hence the name. a 1.8t and a vr6 are pretty close in range, pre 02.5 1.8t's have 150 and post 02.5 have 180hp. new 2.0t have 200. i cant say ive ever raced a mustang on the street just the strip.....i would like to :wink

yea ive heard those vr6's are pretty quick... well in the gti but the vr6 in the jetta is still pretty damn quick

i have a buddy on the air force base that has done a lot of work to his 1.8T golf.. t-3 turbo i believe, completely upgraded fuel management system, retuned computer, not sure what kind of engine work but i know it's cammed really hardcore & has been completely gone through.. running about 20lbs of boost he was running 276 fwhp on the dyno & but leaning out really bad... since then he did some more computer work & found the bug in the fuel system & he's dynoing it again soon... that car is seriously the scariest car i have ever ridden in...

thats pretty much what i have also, around 300hp
