00 SS 6.0l Vs 91 GT


hi my friend is talking shit about stangs and says heŽll give me a 3 car length advantage what do you think

His: Camaro 00 6.0L short block, LS1 ported heads, headers, spec 2 clutch, drag radials
Mine: 91 GT Explorer ported intake, Edelbrock ported and polished heads, 1.6 roller rockers, X303cam, 24lb injectors, 76mm Maf, 80mm TB, MAC exhaust system, MSD ingition kit (coil, wires, 6AL box) 3.73 and M/T ET streets 26/10/15

if hes runnin a 6.0 block hes prob pushing over 408 cubes, unless you stroke it theres no real reason to run a 6.0 block, hes gonna decemate you

yep race was last night got my ass handit to him he also raced an 04 silverado with an LS1 swap and AFR heads and 200 shot of NOS and smoked him damn that car is fast he runs 12.68 with 1,500 rpm launchs cause he need a new rear axle a 12 bolt or something like that, he says heŽll be runing 11.80 with a tune 42lb injectors a cam and drag slicks his advice to me, change to the dark side (chevy) my answer i just need more cubic inches!! going for a 408 what parts of my setup will still be useable????

well if you want a good 408, nothing, but the motor mounts, you'll want big heads, lots of cam and an intake that flows some air.
