Mustang Vs Crown Vic PI?

hey guys

I have a 04 mustang V6 auto. Stock. & a friend of my uncles has a 06 crown vic police interceptor & he claims it would have no problem taking my V6.
is this true?
He says it could take me on the 1/4 Mile or how ever far we race.
he basically is saying He could take me no matter what type of race it is.

I have an 03 Crown Victora PI and sorry but your uncle is right. I have destroyed V6 mustangs as well as bolt-on Integras, Civics, Celica, etc.

I have no mufflers and 255/55's. That's it. Oh and 243000 miles.

Remember a Crown Vic is essentially a 4-door Mustang, just heavier, has a different tune and smaller diameter exhaust piping basically.

What mods would i need to out run him?
would a CAI,Dual exhaust, 4.10 gears & T-lok,throttle body, & a cam be all I need or would it take more then that?

Thanks.

You are going to need a bit to outrun him.

He is at 250 crank hp and he already has tuned suspension and a 4.6L v8.

I have a 98 crown vic and it would outrun you as well man.

Think of him as having a 96-98 mustang GT.
If you can beat that, then you can hang.

A supercharger would do the trick. Otherwise, don't waste money on a throttle body.

Thanks for all the replys guys.
Funny thing is he thinks he would have no problem out running an 03/04 cobra (I'm getting one in about 6-8 months. saving up for it right now) he even went as far as saying he could out run a shelby super snake LOL
everyone knows what the outcome of that race would be.

but I just get tired of him thinking he has the fastest car in the world. I just wanna blow that thing away and give him something new to talk about for a change.

I see your point. but I'm modding my V6 anyway and was wanting to know if the mods I listed above would be all I need or would I still need more?
also what is a JMOD exactly? how much does it cost to get that done?
also Dienasty, how bad did you beat the V6 you raced? like how many car lengths?
thanks.

A Jmod is a modification to your transmission that allows more fluid to flow to lube things and it increases shifting time in autos.

I am not sure how much it costs to get done but the kits themselves are around $100 or so I believe.

The mods you listed won't do it honesty. I have owned 2 v6 mustangs personally with those exact mods minus the cam and as you know I also own the crown vic. You will need a power adder to beat one.

Thanks for the info. Do you know of any sites that I could get one of those kits from? I looked on american muscle but I didn't see any unless I over looked it.

I have no idea honestly. I am sure someone with an auto will chime in.

J Mod is a selfdone kit, you take out a plate and drill them youself so the slush can run faster. This results in fasters, more effiecient shifts and less stress on the tranny and reduced heat. Its called a J mod becuase Jerry some dude who designed the transmissions saw that this was an improvement. You can also buy shiftkits which basicly do the same thing cept they are precut plates.

VAP Auto - J-Mod Kits

Basicly to fix up a sloppy auto a tuner will help change shiftpoints, shiftkit/jmod will firm up shifts, And a highstall torque converter will alow your rpms to spool up

Thanks for the info.
So if i go Tuner, CAI, Dual exhaust, 4.10 gears & T'lok, Cam, JMod, highstall torque covereter, It should take the CVPI with no problem right?

As far as Nitrous goes I've got mixed feeling's on that. I've heard alot of good & Bad storys about it. like the bottle blowing up, blowing the motor ect.
is there a safe way to use the nitrous with out anything going wrong?

Also in the near future I'm hoping to get a Supercharger and add some more mods from time to time so what would be the best cam to get? also what about the torque covereter? & I may have already asked but as I'm getting the cam installed is there anything else I should add while they are doing that?

sorry for asking so many questions lol, but I appreciate your time.
