06 Mustang Vs G8 Gt?

who do you guys think is going to win between a stock 06 mustang and a stock g8 gt? I mean the g8 have more horses but also weight heavier. But tell me what you think!

Depends on the driver. They are both about mid 13 second cars.

Stock for stock? My money is on the G8 GT. But don't benchmark, go do it and let us know what happens. But yea equal drivers I'd say G8 by a nose

I would say it's a drivers race. You can say assume equal drivers, but that never happens.

anyway g8 has better gearing, more torque and more hp and better power band

mustang has less weight

from a stop it would be much close because weight is more of a factor but from a roll the g8 is gonna win

I'm not a big racer or anything, but when I had my M3 with SMG I would use the launch function and, if i can remember correctly, it launched at around from a stop with revs around 4500. i would get wheel spin of course, but would quickly grip and shoot out like a bat out of hell. I would assume if you're going to race, wouldn't just do full throttle from idle and expect great expectations??

the higher rpms you luanch at the more whell spin youll have, so yes you can launch at say 6000rpms but youll need some serious tires to get grip. especially when dealing with the torque of a v8, most people launch around 3-4k cause anything higher will give way to much wheel spin and youll need drag slick to maintain grip
