Ricer fly-by....Mustang style!

I was driving home late Saturday night on the highway ...there was no one else on the road...when from behind me comes a set of headlights and the staple GT foglamps.
He passes me pretty quickly, then slows down and I pass him.
This happens a few times...and mind you, I had cruise control set at 80MPH, so I'm just minding my own business, and I think he's either just checking out my car, or he's taunting me.
I don't usually toy with regular Mustangs on the highway (sometimes Cobras or Saleens), but being it was 1 in the morning, and I was bored and trying to pass the time, I decided to switch off cruise control, slow to about 70 and get next to him.
Well, I paced him, for a minute or two waiting for a sign...nothing.
So I jumped him a little to get him going, but he wouldn't bite.

Oh well, I decide to go ahead and resume cruise control back to 80...and then what happens?

After about an 1/8 mile in front of him, he decides it's time to race!
and pulls the ultimate ricer fly-by...hauling ass past me and flying off on the next available exit ramp, hazards flashing.
WTF?

Anyways, just proof that ricer fly-bys are not reserved just for...well, ricers.

That's funny, I've gotten ricer fly-by's from domestic cars before too. I actually got it from 2 cars once, a new goat and a white Mach 1. I was left in awe that one nice car and a goat like that would pull a fly-by! But I had been drinking so I decided against trying to chase them down...

Its not so much the "ricer-fly-by" as much as its the "immature teen-age" driver fly-by. If youre gonna mess around on the street....keep it from first to second. If youre so close, then bring it to the track. On the highway its not a race if someone comes from behind and blows by you and thinks he won. haha

BTW: What are you running? Im assuming a Supra, but what are the mods. Im a Toyota technician. And i always like seeing new cars.

Man ricers are in everything now. It is still dominated by the import guys, but ricer is a mentality not a car.

Toyota tech? Awesome!
Maybe you can help me determine wtf this rattling sound is, that is coming from my rear axle!?
I've been told it's a loose brake assembly, bad hub assembly, on and on, but no one seems to know!

Anyways, I am currently running on stock sequential twin turbos, with a downpipe and exhaust, intake, MBC, GReddy FCD, and a shitty FMIC with ghetto piping, made for an Integra, lol.
On the streets I run 93 octane and around 15-16psi, whereas I turn up the boost to 17-18psi and put in a few gallons of race gas for the track runs.

Last time i ran the 1/4 I pulled a 12.7 out of my ass somehow!...on stock Kuhmos, no less.

Anyways, PM me if you have any idea what that noise is.
I've checked the rear brakes and they're fine, and all the bolts that attach the axle to the pumpkin are tight.
So....I'm stumped.

Thanks.

Back when I street raced I would only flash hazards at the rice boys so they couldn't do their flybys, or to indicate "I have destroyed your car and do not feel like getting pulled over to prove that I will pull harder on you through all my gears."

Like a bitch!!!!

I just got flown by yesterday by an Eclipse and a V6 Accord, I was just stopped on a two lane construction road about 2 miles long! I was practicing launching when I see these two bastards coming from behind at over 100 MPH neck to neck so I moved to the grass. I was so pissed that I took off and caught up and they wanted to race me, so I went for it. It was two lanes, closed street, no traffic, so they had to decide who would go next to me and who would follow, the Mitsu got next. We launched and of course I had them since the beginning, but when I hit 115 MPH, my car didn't want to go faster so I quit. I'm still troubled by that 115 MPH, don't know why...
