haha where'd I get 10L?

My car weighs 2612 lbs. It's relatively light considering the options it has on it.

A CRX will weigh roughly 2300 lbs bone stock, but swap a 200 hp engine into it, build it and turbo it... even at a low 7 psi, you will have yourself a car with an INSANE hp to weight ratio. I wasn't necessarily talking about new imports, but the only reason they're that fat is the options and new safety equipment that everyone is packing into the cars.

man another retarded ewsponsw. thats the kinda attitude that people hate mustang guys for. i dont understand why you cant respect a car that i fast whether it is 4 cyl or not. sounds like youve got your ass handed to you one too many times. i tell ya what ive had my ass spanked by a crx before in my dads zo6 and ill tell ya this, that was a badass car and anyone who says its not deserve to get their ass whipped. why cant you respect someone efforts in bbuilding a hotrod. thats what we all are right, just with a different type of motor. we all have the same passion and thats to go fast. i understand what your saying about the little civic with 90 hp and a 5 foot triple stacked 747 wing but there not reason for a comment like that on a very respectable car and a respectable guy! that is all

actually i havent raced a ricer yet....and first off i never said they werent fast, i just dont like them PERIOD.

Ill have to agree. Why hate imports? Especially with such an aditude. Sure you are entitled to your own oppinion, but just because they're not made in the USA doesn't mean they're worthless. Ive seen almost as many neon ricers as civic ricers. Would you defend the neon ricers because thet're american made? Hell, do you hate my car, a euro import 4 banger? Practically anti rice in my opinion.(as any other car that runs well and who's driver has self respect and mechanical knowlege)

BTW his car is not trying to be something it is not, it is only trying to be a reliable honda that is faster that most cars on the street, not a mustang or a F&F car. (i assume)

GEEEZ!!!! I haven't checked on my own topic and see someone's blasting the "ricer" family again. Well for the ricey attitude symptom guy... Why on earth are you talking like that. What do yuo hate about "Ricers" as you call them, besides the quad spoiler whatever. Why do you hate "ricers" so much, what do they make you feel like a loser?

I may drive a 5.0 and have confidence in half of my town with there little folger's crystals can and Mr. Fix it plumming pipes on the back, but I also have my head where it should be under my hood... If I win I win if I lose, I call summitracing and order some larger heads.... So what's your fuss about the 4cyl rods..... I waiting ?

Rice hmmm kinda bland until you add a little spice.... I am not a big fan of the imports but I would have to agree power is power and some of those imports are damn nice cars....

I've about decided that the "ricer" "attitude" isnt a ricer attitude at all.....its just the general attitude of a prick with a fast car (or a car that the prick thinks is fast). It obviously carries over to american muscle aswell. My 97 cobra conv is pretty fast.... mid-high 13's on street tires w/ the top down (on a g-tech) i havent taken it to an acutal track yet but i will soon and will post my timeslips. My fiance has a 96 vtec prelude w/ short throw and k&n w/ no other mods. That think is pretty quick too. I havent made any g-tech runs with it yet but i have driven it and it is respectably fast. She likes her car cuz she thinks its pretty, which it looks 100% stock so there is no "ricer" spice on this ride.

My point is this. Fast is fast. Period. If you cant respect and appreciate that for what it is then you are no better than all the "ricer dickheads" that everybody (including myself) hates so much. The annimosity is about stupidity and that post had both.

tell me this, what domestic can handle over 1000 horse power on a stock bottemend, with over 200,000 miles, run 8.5@17x with the stock 6 SPEED and sti;ll be completely drivable and be used as a daily driver? not a one! the toyota supra can do all of that. what car owns the texas mile in a street legal car? the toyota supra. you need to give credit where its due!!! ya know im all for domestics and thats why i drive one, but this mindset that you have against them is rediculous!! that is all for now untill i get something else to pwn you on!!!

yea man I drive a Cobra and its quick n all but my buddys CRX is built and he kicks my ass all the time in his lil 4 banger and i respect that. anyone who puts that much work in a car to get it that fast deserves respect.

who the hell would be dumb enough to want to keep a car over 200k miles ? i sure woulnt. I seriously doubt theres any cars out there over 1000hp that are legal for street use, that just woulnt be safe. Besides you guys seem to have gone another route. I hate ricers as in ppl that have that fart can n think that noise gives them hp, if you misunderstood me i did not mean to say i hate imports just cuz they arent american cars.

well thats not what you said when you were dissing 2000si. and buddy if ive kept good care on a car, i have no problem keeping it for over 200,000 miles. my last daily driver car i had went 247,000 miles and it was still running great, but one day the oil pump went out and boom that was it. go do some research and see how many street legal cars there are out there that run over 1000 rwhp. you migh see even a few that are running over 1600 hp. go do your research before you say that they arent street legal!!!!

ill have to agree, 200k + miles isnt really even that much for some cars, take my car for example, it currently has 243k miles and runs at factory spec or better with the original head gasket, original timing chain,(WTF!) original turbo,(wtf again!) and no major engine work ever needing to be done and did i mention that its miles were mostly in town(although low reving engine) the biggest issue i have had with it was the trans needed to be rebuilt(and modded of course!) at 150k. The oil was changed every 2k miles though. SO, if you keep your car in good shape it can last almost forever. Mercedes used to give medalions to people for having there cars go certain distances, like 200k and 2 million miles!

And BTW while the supra has an awesome balanced and forged bottom end that can last 200k miles, like any other high hp/L modded car the top end wont last worth shit with out many rebuilds, making the supra engine just like just any other run of the mill durable engine. But ill have to admit that its trans is awesome.

and BTW 4.6GT you DID say you hate cars just because they are not domestic

i was just explaing how the bottom end on them can handle 1000 hp for a long time. i have seen several 1000 hp supras that actually have the original bottom end and have over 200,000 miles. of course the heads will have to be rebuilt cuz thts just to much for that shit to take for to long.

yeah the bottom ends on supras are awesome, i did say that above right? But one things for sure, if that stock or near stock supra trans can handle 1k hp for even 50k - 100k miles it is ridiculously awesome.

any way, whos up next to give there ignorant opinion? Man i wish there was a guy here trying to argue that underglow and 3 level spoilers are cool, that would be so entertaining...

speaking of annoying, me and AB were looking at this 95(i think) cobra on a used car lot, the guy who previously owned it had no right to; the thing had a double level spoiler, was dropped to the ground, had ricer painted tail lights and the body was a bit torn up in kind of dumb ways.(not to hard to fix though, and some from being lowered to much) It would have been such a cool car too
