well i want in! it should be like a first 6 month active rule or something. 250 is way steep. ive been readn this forum for like 2 years =\

Listen buddy, I didnt accuse you of anything. I was mearly just giving you a warning. Every post after the one on here about having to need 250 posts were just 1 liners in every thread that was at the top of the 99-04 section. If posting in the street racing section is such a big deal to you, then I would suggest going else where to post such things.

I used to have a 535 and thus belonged to a couple BMW forums.
Long story longer, even though the forum would delete any 'street racing' threads, and go as far as even banning users if they posted on the topic repeatedly, someone(or more likely their lawyer looking for pockets to pick) who was injured in an accident caused by a street 'race' between a forum member and another person, at least attempted to sue the forum. I didn't see it myself, but rumor mill had it somehow the lawyer had printed out a post from the forum member/innocent bystander taker-outer, where he had bragged about beating a motorcycle in his M3. The lawyer-attempting to get money from as many sources as possible-attempted to get some blame(apparently they can assign responsibility in percentages, which ends up directly relating to the percentage of 'damages' each member of the 'guilty party' is responsible for)assigned to the forum owners.
Screw-ball thing about it was, even though the forum was in no-way responsible for the numb-nuts drag racing on the street and taking out a mini-van full of Big-Mac eaters, whether or not the court found that the forum was responsible even in a small part for the crash, the forum owner(s) still had to spend thousands of $$ defending themselves-which is what PI lawyers count on to get people to settle. It can be 'cheaper' than fighting the suit.
Point being, for that reason I'm really surprised to see a forum not only allowing the topic to be discussed, but to go further and even have a forum dedicated specifically for the topic.

As far as what happened with the lawsuit I speak of, I don't know. It was at least 3 or 4 years ago, and IIRC once it got going, the lawyer(s) told the owners to delete any posts relating to it, and to also keep their own mouths shut about it. I ended up getting rid of the car and forgot about it 'til now.
