i know they will hit about ~140 , but it takes them a shit ton of road to get that fast

and yeah they are pure dogs off the line, i pulled on my friend's sheriff car and i looked back and thought he was sitting still

or broke something...

Little back story here: I upfit CVPI's for a living, and have for the past 5 years. I work for the largest Ford fleet dealer in North America, with an output of roughly 7000 units a year. I eat/sleep/breathe CVPI's for a living.

Now that we got that out of the way...

Stock CVPI's run 129mph, speed limited by Ford. Average rigged units (push bumper, divider, console+electronics, lightbar) add roughly 150lbs to the package, plus the drag of the lightbar. Post-rig, average top speed will be about 125. The earlier post by dr. gonzo was very accurate.

The V6 probably could take a CVPI from a dig, just don't let up as second is fairly strong. After 80-ish they just aren't pulling that hard (seat-of-the-pants dyno) but continue to run up to the 120's, just takes a while.
