Im going to race a cop!!!


my buddy is a pig now (lol)... and he agreed to race me sometime in his crown vic (the cop car)... i have the feeling hes going to walk all up and down my ass but im gona give it a shot anyhow... can someone tell me what the crown vic cop cars r running for hp and the engine size?

they aren't that fast..

i walked a vic with the interceptor package badly with my GT.

i think they are rated at 220-240 crank HP.(don't quote me on that though)

I'm pretty sure they run ~15.1 in the 1/4 mile. Top out around 133mph.

its gonna be way slow if it has all the reg stuff in it...add in the divider and all the electronics and stuff they keep in trunk its bout 3-400lbs

yea i rode in one with a buddy of mine whos a cop and lead footed they are quick but not not that quick their heavy which is the main downfall you should be able to take it in a straight race dont sweat

4.10, posi, exhaust, plugs, wires, CAI, X-Cal 2, short throw, tornado fans, i think thats it but im not 4sure i cant think right now lol, and very soon UD pulleys and a 50-200 shot

Have you seen that in person?

I read a different magazine article (thats the one I was looking for when I found the one I posted) a year or so ago that tested the police interceptor crown vic and it maxed out at 132 or 133 I can't remember which. It was drag limited to that speed so I'm thinking that 147 number could be accurate but there is a lot more than just a light bar in a cop car; computers, cage, etc etc.
