Lmao! A while back we had a almost exact set up. Used IBT's off a 600cc GSRX. We had the intake line come in the left head light of a 93 EX hatch. The shit you can do with honda's for very cheep is redic. That motor alone right now i am working on cost less then 3500 bucks.

BUT rember kid's most honda's are FWD....... (s2000 are not)

Maybe I'm just lucky (or unlucky?) that there's no hondas really running around my town (50 mins west of stl). All the hondas I see are obvious hunks of shit. That being said mustangs are like the hondas of my town in that they are around every corner (not complaining whatsoever on that one) which is cool cuz most are cool enough to wave or say hey or whatever. Shit I had some guy cut 3 people off weaving traffic in his piece of shit 96 neon just to catch up in time to slam his brakes and skid to a halt next to me just to ask me what exhaust I was running cus his 94 broke down and he was rebuilding it. I could smell the menthols from his car 8ft away. Mines by no means fast but god damn it sounds good 15.4 @ 90 something mph... Yeah it's a 5.slow with 215,000 on the original motor. I'm putting a million miles on this fucker come hell or high or water.

Hondas can be VERY surprising.

I built my father's Honda after he blew the motor on the track and got these results:

this dyno-graph is on LOW BOOST 16psi on 93 octane(setup can handle 30+PSI, but stock drivetrain is holding him back now)

If you are in Pennsylvania and see an old gray-haired dude driving with this front in your rearview:

I would ask yourself if you are feeling lucky and if you think he is running low-boost(10psi, lower graph above)

If they are runnig 2 ton bodies with wings bigger than r car then you. an almost assume they have nothing.
But ive seen alot of sleepers around town that will give alot of gts a run for there money.
theres a dude here in NC with a mini coop pushig 400hp gutted. Its hilarious to watch it.

Ive found toyotas, nissans, and especially eclipses tend to race.
Closet thing ive had to me is a maxima but it was back a car and a half wen i was stock.

Get this.... a H22 head from a prelude on a f23 block from a accord with k20 pistons from a rsx makes a 250hp torque monster they call a g23. They really find the craziest things with Honda's. But rice is rice. Only good from rice is sake.

The only hondas I'm afraid of are the ones with intercoolers and a crx thats blacked out or gutted, and its a given dont race a s2k with a v6 hahah I was already put in my place. I have been suprised at some car shows what people have done to them, even saw one with a ls series engine (atleast im pretty sure it was a ls engine) but I do respect sleepers just not rice.

The Civic and Integra GSR and Type-R cars came with the B18C1 (GSR) and B18C5 (Type-R) DOHC motors with Vtec and make close to 200bhp from the factory in a car that weighs less than 2500lbs with full interior. Not to mention that after '97, they came with forged internals from the factory so the stock motor could easily handle anything you wanted to throw at it.
My friend has a 92 prelude with a Japanese h22a1 engine and everytime we meet up he some how.gets to talking about his engine..like everytime he says his car has 210hpa then the next wk its 225??? Qhat is it...i know hondas have hp but they lacm tq and some one ahine light on the sec gen s2k.....messing round wkth one that i belive was stock but the same friend says hes got vtec racing cams but then again who th hell knows...it was on the road and i missed mt down shift...as in i shoft to slow but whwn i did i caugh with him and was side by side for a whilw till we both backed down..... What they do in quarter miles ect

It is possibly the only car from the factory that is almost maxed out. Full exhaust, intake, AEM ECU with amazing dyno tune, and your MIGHT make 220rwhp. Even with ITBs, good luck breaking 230rwhp. It needs FI to get more power.
So it made 200 hp but beat stock gts????......let me guess s2k are light as hell and thats why i had a good try at beatkng a s2k....ran neck and neck

i get that honda's can be built to kick some serious ass, especially b/c they are a bit lighter but the chances of a bolt on GT against a bolt on civic pushing 215whp and i'm not talking about one w/ a turbo or supercharger, just the plain jane bolt ons.... i mean, the weight isn't what has me concerned as much as the traction. i just find it funny to see the amount of dudes w/ honda's that talk smack, especially when they just pull up.

I had a Subaru STI try to take me on my way home with my buddy, and needless to say he didn't really stand a chance. Luckily though other than that I haven't had any Hondas or anything else try to really mess with me. Now if a Camaro tried to start some...
