06 GT Vs. 2010 BMW 335i

Hey guys, me and my friend wanna race, but uhhh, i wanna be positive i got him...What do you guys think will win??
Both cars are automatic he's got a 2010 BMW 335i (those cars got twin turbo) hes stock..
My 06 GT has JLT Cold Air Intake & 93 tune and borla stinger axleback...thoughts????

ummm your probably going to lose if he has a turbo, but it's worth a try =)

well not a turbo kit...just the stock twin turbo engine technology that comes stock on those cars

Those cars have 300 or something close stock. If he is tuned you lost; game over; dot bother.

You with mods will walk him though if you can drive and its from a dig.

DO NOT ROLL RACE THAT CAR.

the 335i's are underrated originally as to not take away from the sales of the e46 m3 with 333hp...the 335's have about 340-350bhp stock, not 300 as advertised.

with your mods, it will be a close race but I think you will have half a car on him or so

Mickey the e46 was dead when the new e90's came out on the scene. Why would they worry about hurting sales from a car that isnt made any longer?

And if he has a tune watch out.

nope he's just stock no tune and i'd probably prefer from a dig but why not form a roll?

You did not understand what I meant..when the 335 was introduced, the e46 m3 was still in full production and they did not want to take away from its sales. Once the e92 m3 came out, they werent going to go back and restate the 335s numbers..look it up on google or any bmw forum, its the truth

The majority of that cars powerband is all up top.

the 335i's are single turbo, it is just "twin scroll". Unless he has the "is", wich is the N54 actual twin turbo. BMW will win. sorry, but its the truth.

I don't know, it may be a decent race.
I'm a full car out in front of my coworkers e46 M3 from a roll to about 80 and he CAN drive.
We ran out of road and I think I could have pulled more.

Run him and report back. I'd be curious to hear the outcome.

My uncle was the 4th person to take delivery on one of the new 335i hardtop convertibles. I've raced him from a dig and 20 roll. (I was pretty much stock, just exhaust, stock pirellis, and 3.31's) Pulled on him both times.

i seen one of these cars at the drag strip last summer. it had a tune in it and was running 12s on street tires.

The 2007 E90 when it first came out. I thought it was the same specs as the 2010. The 2011 is supposed to be quicker. But being a conservatively tuned turbo from the factory, they can be pretty quick pretty easily.

yeah deff...and im pretty sure the 2010s had up'ed their power, but im not too sure..
