Finally broke my 1/4 cherry this weekend!

Friend with his new '01 Bullitt wanted to go and talked me into coming along to race him. Made 3 passes. First pass had a .205 R/T, 15.11@96.3?. Second .596 R/T, 15.3?@93.??...was looking at my rpms, looked up and saw the green light, and I forgot to take traction control off, lol. Third -.019 R/T(super frowny face), 15.19@95.??. For a first time, and considering the elevation here, people said I did really good, so I'm happy. That was a blast! I'll update the ?'s when I upload the timeslips later when I'm less lazy.

Damn. How high is the elevation? I would pack my bags and move down hill if my car couldn't break into the 14's atleast.

We're pretty high, sadly, like 4200+ feet above sea level I think. My friend's STi only got a 14.7 max I think, so I think I did as good as the air pressure would allow, being that I only have an intake and tune. My roommate's brother's completely built turbo Civic ran a 11.3 on the 400+ whp "low boost" tune, 10.95 on the 600+ whp high boost...if he was at sea level, he'd be doing 9's. It may be an ugly Civic still, but holy jeebus it's scary to drive in, lol.

Where exactly is West Valley City? I lived in Vernal for a little while and fell in love with Utah. That state rocks! I just can't deal with the winters and the cops don't play around. I was scared to even drive 5mph over the speed limit.

WVC is just a suburb of Salt Lake City. Meh, I've lived here my whole life, so I'm a bit bored of it here.

Shaun, just gotta work with what you have.

Haha, there's a lot of beautiful women here...unfortunately, most of them are LDS/Mormon and won't give you the time of day if you're not a returned missionary, let alone not even a member.

Ha! I almost forgot about the Mormons. Salt Lake is definitelt mormon capitol. You ever been to the Flaming Gorge? One of the most beautiful lakes i've ever fished in.

Nah, haha, not a big camper or fisher. But there's definitely some gorgeous scenery here for sure.

Yeah, there's a CRX around here that runs 10.4s with just 430whp. We have a 650whp Talon Tsi that runs mid-9s so that's about accurate. My Focus would probably be struggling to break in the 13s at your altitude.
