Hats off to the Fbody Well I have never raced before but I have to give it to the camaro that beat me last night. My car is by no means stock but I know that that camaro was not either or I would of walked away from him (fairly easy I might add). It was a friendly quick race that ended not quite as expected but it made me realise (I HAVE TO BUILD MY MOTOR BIG TIME!!!!!!!) Just so this will NEVER happen again. You gotta give it to those F bodies they do have some grunt... Hats of to you until next time...

I am not sure what ur found situation looks like but if you are in the market for some cams look at modularhead shop. In my old Car 2002 Gt I had his stage 2 heads and a set of Comp 270 cams and it made nice power through the power bak. I doesn't say if you have gears or not but it wouldn't hurt to get atleast a 3:73 or a set of 4:10s behind ur car. My old car is going 11.98s@118 in the quarter now with a most stock suspension.

I will be getting a better blower and a built bottom end to handle all that boost and compression..

There definetly no joke, Begining of this year I sold my 2002 T/A M6 when it puked a lifter... But with exhaust, intake, tune it was putting down 319RWHP and would cut 12.98's on 315/35 Sumitomo HTR-Z's....

Yea, about that I figured out what happened my air inlet tube after the supercharger was loose so the air being sucked in to the motor was no where near full boost and was just blowing into the engine bay. It should of been much closer cause I'm hanging right around where your car is for power. The only thing stopping me is the stock bottom end which will be a built shortblock w/ported heads. I have so much timing out of this thing it's not even funny and my cam degrees are retarded a lot due to PTV issues I need dished pistons (in a big way) I'm thinking that my car should be at around 400 RW HP after I do this unless I go with a better supercharger. But waiting for that money tree to start growing (lol).

I honestly like the F bodys, When I get a chance Id like to get a z28.
Still prefer the mustang due to heritage, looks, and being from a ford family. New cameros are bleck. |
