well it depends on wut kinda race were talking here...
drag race, the gt500 would kill it easily. on the oval track, i think it would be close cuz the gt500 would keep reeling the r in on the straights

IMO it just depends on what kinda race were talking about because each one is made for something different...

Another vote for the terminator. How did it not make the poll? The 00 has the most bad ass motor ford has ever built, but the termi has a blower. The super snake is another contender, but all the new ones are too heavy.

I don't believe the question was "on a budget" or "if one can be purchased". It was which one is better. The debate with his friend was between a 00 R and a GT500. Now I'm not doggin' the termi, they are great cars, but one would get ripped apart by a 00 R if they were both stock.

out of those 2 a GT500. look at the possibilities. 800RWHP with a simple blwoer swap, and bolt ons.
i would also rank the terminator right there beside the GT500. both are amazing cars, wtih amazing possibilities. yeah, the GT500 may weight more, but that extra motor size makes up for it.

deffinitly cobra R
its rare much more IMPRESSIVE the GT-500 is just sad to hear it has 500hp and runs the same times as the terminator i believe the cobra is still a 12 second 1/4 car on a road course theres no a chance that the gt-500 is sticking with the cobra R |

lets see both are 5.4L the GT-500 might make 800rwhp with a SERIOUS blower swap no simple...it'd have to be a badass KB with a small pulley and plenty tuning and it'd run what...what a 600rwhp mustang GT or cobra runs in the 1/4 gt-500 for the lose |

800RWHP would take a 2.8H on moderate boost, thats about all that stock motor is good for, build the bottom end, and do a whipple 3.4, and it could quite possibly make 1000RWHP. look at it this way, with about 550RWHP which is a pulley swap, and tune, and some suspension mods, and evolutions GT500 was mid 10's. then a little shot, and some more mods, and it was 9.99 on the 100% stock eaton. not sure what they're running with 800RWHP. but theres no doubt a 3.4L whipple one 25-30PSI 900-100RWHP would run 8's. the things are badass.
