So I forget what they are called by they are those new little coupes Pontiac is making. I think it may be called a G6 or somethin...Anyway guy said he wants to race and me and my friend. Can he beat our cars we both have new edge V6s, mine manual, his auto.

well base mode G6 has 164HP, the GT has 219HP, and the GXP has 252HP. wich one does he have?

Im pretty sure the base model. I will double check tomorrow. I know its not the GXP but it might be the GT. How bad would the GT beat us? I know it has to weigh less. Everything weighs less than our cars lol.

I have a 2003, so only 190HP. Racers corner is usually stories about racing. This is more of a power question, which would fall closer to V6...But whatever

well i would say if his is base model you shoudnt have a problem. it its a gt he would problly win, i mean it is like a 30hp difference, but it also depends on the drivers.

Its an auto I know that much. I dont think he has ever raced before so I'm really not that worried even if it is a GT.

if its a gt he will walk you all he needs to know is where the gas pedal is and how to push it to the floor if its an auto

yeah but if its auto it dont matter if hes never raced, the car knows when to shift. i think if its a gt he'll win. is your car stock?

This guy isnt the smartest in the world. He still has to worry about spinning his tires. Even if you have an auto you cant just slam down the gas pedal and say you gave it your best.

Why would they not spin? I see people spin their tires all the time with autos on accident.

im just saying they mite not spin. i used to have a turbo eclipse manual and the wheels would only cherp 1 2 and 3 gear. his car has alot less hp than my old eclipse, so i doubt his will spin

Those cars all have some form of tractioncontrol,They will not allow too much wheel spin.Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Can't he just turn off the T/C. I never noticed a T/C button in my friends G6 but I figured the car just came without T/C. Since its kind of on the cheaper end of the car spectrum.
