2003 Eclipse

Ok my friend just called and said someone is talkin shit to him cause the guy just got a 2003 Eclipse. My friend has a stock 2004 V6 stang, auto. Don't bother even asking he doesn't know if it s a GT or a GS or if it's auto or manual. So what are his chances her? I do know the Eclipse is stock cept for wheels lol.

a friend of mine traded his 02 eclipse for a mach. cai, and muffler swap it went 15.7 or so n/a and 14.5 or so on bottle. we then removed resonators, p&p intake, p&p heads, and it woke up a lot. the 6g72 is a good motor and is not too shabby for what it is. it will leave out of the hole better, but the mustang should take it from a roll. it will be a drivers race.

You talking about like the 96 98 round style eclipse turbos? With a t4 swap and a stand alone they can run 11's and 12's pretty easy, especialy the gsx awd model. As sweet said, my 02 ran real low 14's with just a couple mods and a 75 wet shot.

i cant speak for a V6 mustang's speed, never been in one, but i was in a friends 96 cadillac fleetwood when he raced my other friend in his 03 ecplise GT, and the eclipse went down pretty bad, its definently a turd.

ive driven doc's old eclipse, ive owned a v6 mustang and it would be a good race. i went 15.63 in the old v6, all stock except a 225 rear tire. doc went 15.6 or 7 with cai, and muffler. the 6g72 is a good motor, but are a pain in the ass to work with! the port openings are crap in the 6g72 and really wake up when worked on. i drove docs eclipse after we worked over the intake and heads, and damn! rolling 30mph the little bastered strait broke free on me and went for a fun unexpected ride.
