lol just the other day i raced a saleen i knew i would lose but its still fun none the less. ricers with their fartcans race people all day and lose and at the end of the day they still think they are pimp.... lol ya but ill race anyone just for the fun of it. i raced a 2006 impreza and walked him from a 20mph roll. i was soo freaking happy lol. because he had been talking mess all night.

last night my friend in a GT with aftermarket intake, MAF, TB, 3.73 gears, and performance clutch walked a 350z and an STI.

3000gt, If they are modded, and its done right, they can be just as insanely quick as quite a few other cars.. they have potential, it just needs to be brought out.....

IMHO, launching can be a very deciding factor on any race. And the more power your car has, the trickier it can be.

I personally like the tires to chirp and slide for just a tiny bit.

a good deciding factor on your car hooking all the power to the ground is your tires. A softer rubber tire is going to put the traction down a bit better than the harder rubberish tires.... The downside is your going to get limited mileage off those softer rubber tires..... I have some Khumo tires on my car, and while I like them quite a bit, I think that goodyear's hook up a bit better... the downside is that I could not afford the goodyears heh heh

Anyway, back on topic of the thread...

if you KNOW you are going to loose, you can either give it the good ol' try just in case the other driver is a clown, or you can just drive normal and watch them tear away at light speed.... On the other hand, does it really hurt that bad to run it and loose??

As noted before in this thread, the other driver is about 75% of the race. I've beaten cars that by all rights should have torn me up... but I won because I launched better, and shifted better. This is really evident in the ricer crowd, because most of those vehicles are manuals. It takes a good driver to run a manual car down the track quickly. If they know how to launch, and know how and when to shift, that car can be insanly fast.. If they rap the motor to 6g, dump the clutch and sit and spin... then just simply pop it up to redline and shift... well, chances are your going to win hands down

3000GT's are so-so fast if it is the VR4 they are 300hp twin turbo. I agree WRX STI's are quick but not insanely quick like FireryDriver stated. They have the launch advantage because of the all wheel drive like the 3000GT VR4's but after that they are 13 sec cars. My car runs high 10's low 11's I love dusting those ricers and Z06 Vettes. The Vettes are the best because Vette owners are a bunch of pussies and they think their shit dont stink. But when a 1993 Notch dusts them off right up to 140mph they just snivel....LOLOLOLOLhahahahhaa!!
