glad i was alone...06gt versus 08q37

i guess i was so used to beating on the 350z and the q35 that i didnt stop to think twice about going against a q37...but let me tell ya boys....that q37 is fast....dont get surprised by one like i did....its a lot quicker than the q35....i met up with it at a light on sunrise highway...got lucky...it was me , the q37 and an audi a4 riced up that managed to get the front 3 lanes at a light....green and off we go....the q37 immediately pulled away on me while we both left the a4 pretty quick....5 seconds in and i started to catch the q37 a bit...but he was still in it....we were goin wot and the distance between us wasnt changing....maybe got a little over 110 before we got to the next light.....he couldnt get over how his v6 stayed ahead of a v8...it was embarassing but whatever...he was a cool guy and thats what its all about anyway...car guys having fun....but boy oh boy was i glad i didnt have a girl with me...it woulda been embarassin

i was out by the massepequa mall today but i live in brooklyn...and a q37 is an infinity...its the upgrade to the q35, thats the car that infinity makes that looks just like the 350z but its a little more powerful

Yep the G37 Coupe has the 3.7L V6 DOHC making 330hp. They also have a back seat I think where the 350z doesn't, so I it carries a bit more weight with its luxury. I've seen two of the 4 door sport versions go flat 14's at Beech Bend in June heat and bone stock as well.

And like the post I made about the soon to come out 370Z, it will also have the 3.7L DOHC V6.

Nissan 370z = 350hp @ 3010lbs?

Ford better shave some weight and add some HP to the next GT or we'll be behind the V6 Nissan at the drag strip and in the twisties.

The G37 shouldn't be any faster than an 05-08 Mustang GT. Yes the G37 has 330 hp but it only has 270 lbs/tq. When motortrend tested the G37 the did 0-60 in 5.4 sec and the 1/4 mile in 14 sec. The 05-08 Mustangs are usually faster than that.

in a slight defense i should admit i didnt really launch as hard as i should have, like if i was up against an m3 or a camaro but thats cause i didnt really think that g37 was as strong as it is...couldnt get it through my head that a nissan (infinity) was kicking my ass but make no mistake...like hmusn said, its lighter, its stronger and it corners better....i think its time for me to start shopping forced induction....decisions decisions....go for the challenger or make my gt badass

i dont think the g37 is lighter then a sn95 gt, g37 weighs 200 more pounds then a s197 GT. they weigh 3700+ pounds!
