yeah theyre tools...

a stock mustang GT is capable of 13.6 in the quarter and the bullitt is capabale of 13.2 stock... and 0-60 on a stock GT is 5.00 sec. Stock on the bullitt is around 4.8...

cant drive worth shit. they got a better time out of the challenger because there is no driver effort. its an auto.

youre also a member on 3si.org am i right? i read a lot of car forums even tho i own a mustang haha

and ya hes right above me, the bullitt is probly just as fast if not slightly faster than the srt8 challenger. their best run was a 13.7 from the bullitt????? the bullitt they ran was a manual, the stock 08 gt w/ an auto trans runs the same time w/ 15 less bhp. the bullitt should be good for about a 13.2-13.3 and also does it w/ a much smaller engine and 110hp less than the challenger, performance-wise the bullitt should be the obvious decision imo

challenger is faster, you can just tell by the trap speeds. the challenger can dip into the 12's stock if its anything like the charger. yes the bullitt can get a better time then what they did, but the challenger can too. (but this is why we have cobras, to level the playing field)

I like the Dodge better myself.

The looks of the new Bullit is too plain like a V6.

They can't drive for shit. The Bullitt comes stock with 3.73s, CAI and a 91 tune. And seeing the cost of an SRT8 Challenger is ~$42k, it is right up there with a GT500. If they ran the GT500 and a Challenger, the GT500 would walk the Challenger easily.

I didnt say anything one way or the other just posted the link for information. And yes I am a 3si member - I have three 3S cars....

For a 4 door family car which is how I use the Superbee SRT-8 it is a great ride. I have never run it on the track because that is not what I purchased it for.

The SRT-8 is 600 pounds heavier then the bullitt Mustang. In 2009 the SRT-8 comes out with a Viper 6 speed manual which should prove interesting.

The Dodge's power to weight ratio is better then the Bullitt Mustang.

3500/325HP = 10.7 lbs per 1HP
4100/425 = 9.6 lbs per 1HP

Although the HP per liter is higher on the Mustang Bullitt...

I like all my rides and try not blind myself one way or the other.

car and driver did this test (challenger vs. gt500)...the gt500 was faster but they still picked the challenger (gave it first place) haha.

i like the new challenger myself and agree with the guy saying the bullits look too plain...although i do think they still look pretty sweet.

they shouldnt have even compared them if one is auto and other is manual theres already a half a second differece because of shifting and no driver skills needed for auto just press the gas and steer and also liter and hp 6.1 ltr hemi 425hp challenger and 4.6 ltr 315hp bullit lol for the times to be so close i would say the bullit is the over all winner imo.

I'd take the mustang gt, not bullit, and use the money i saved from buying the cheaper car for mods. It would be faster, and save more money at the pumps because our car doesnt have a freakin truck-sized engine

I for one actually like the simplicity of the bullet. That green paint, the dark charcoal wheels, and no spoiler really looks good IMO. If only it didnt cost so damn much..

I thought this picture was bad ass though.

I'd LOVE to have a higher res pic of that. And it's nice to see people talk about other cars without totally smearing them cause they aren't Fords. Try that in a GM board... simply doesn't happen.

I love the look of the bullit. Totally understated, almost sleeper like. Its wicked. But you gotta love the classic 'bandit' grill on the Challenger, even if it is a bit of a broad shouldered fat kid.

I love the challengers. Cant deny the trap speeds those things put down, the gear ratios arent the greatest either... They do dip into the 12's stock
