What is a good quality rear louver?

I've seen a couple on some local cars. One was a ABS plastic louver that had already warped, pretty deformed, actually. Then I saw one with a black metal (aluminum?) louver that looked like it was well-made. Anyone use these, and have any suggestions? Thanks.

I looked at the plastic one and decided to spend extra $100 and get aluminum. Its thinner and hopefully will hold its shape better. Thinner means you can see thru it better from inside. I have had it on for 3 months and really like it. Got it from AM when they had it on sale - look at American Muscle's website and see photos from majrdad and my car is there.

Only trick to installing the aluminum louver is you have to position the brackets on your rear window and dam them all around with silicone adhesive to protect the double stick tape from rain. You gotta no kidding let the tape on the brackets and silicone adhesive dry for 24 hours before putting the louvers on and driving around or you could have a sad story to post on this board. Would much rather see you post a happy story so please let it dry completely before you drive with the new louver.

My suggestion is go with the aluminum louver, either from AM or dealer of your choice.

Ken :-)
