harrison porting

ok generally i dont like doing this to a person that is running there own small time business or side job like me for making extra $$$ but i have to

I've bought 2 of his parts. one a ported upper intake the second a ported lower intake
the upper i wanted ported to 65mm....he says its 65,mm but its 65mm in like 1 spot. and the runners were volcano'd
by that i mean the very VERY top maybe 1/4 tops 1/2 of and inch from the opening its ported to match the gasket but the 1/4 or 1/2 inch down it slowly well actually QUICKLY inclined back to STOCK!
then the rest is SLIGHTLY ported just to clean off the old surface..then polished to look fully ported...

a job like that takes maybe 1-2hours to do TOPS. polishing is dirt easy. any i ended up PORTING it MYSELF over his.

i contacted him said i didnt like it...he swore it was 65mm port so i said ok...and the volcano'ing?

i wont even give his answer on that because it makes NO SENSE something about better flow or w.e

so i said ok w/e maybe the lower intake will be better.
i was WRONG
another volcano but WORSE the lower intake is a little harder on the more oval shaped runners because where it meets the head theres a lot of porting to be done to open up the space to match the gasket...
nooo not this one. maybe 1/8!! of it is ported, its on such an angle its like 3 angle port...
then polished...
im currently re-porting this one as well now!!

prices are dirt cheap but your getting basically a polished intake!!
i highly dont recommend his porting $90 for an upper intake that maybe took 2 hours...$45 an hour?

then the throttle body...first claims it can be ported to 65mm..there HAS to be a gap on the butterfly valve if he's doing that because its an extra 1mm around it its a TRUE port which im sure is volcano'd

then he says it can be portd to 70mm
i SWEAR TO YOU, the 99-04 THROTTLE bodys CANNOT meet a 70mm PORT. my 65mm almost eats that thing. i've ported to 70+mm on obdnanr's intake and the throttle body will fit in it...

sorry harrison but what your doing is NOT RIGHT

and not to sound like an asshole, but if you're capable of porting, then why didn't you do it all yourself?

yes is he a member on here, not a local shop or anything

im limited on time, im backed up on 2 lower intake i need to do. plus this was before i cared for how i ported. i like the way my intakes come out now and i trust my work. the intakes were meant for my car but i ended up re-porting them now.
