Attention All Members! We have some new guidelines for the ROTM section.You are expected to read them, and to abide by them.




1. Any rude or negative comments about any cars or members will be treated like flaming, and infractions will follow.

2. First 10 nominations make it in. You may be nominated more than once per year, but you can not be nominated in back to back months. If you aren't nominated, please don't post pictures of your car. It's already confusing enough as it is.

3. Please don't complain to the moderators, or anywhere else on MM, if you aren't happy with the results, or don't win or like a theme of that month's ROTM.

4. No post-whoring in the nomination thread! It makes it very difficult to keep track of nominations if you do so. Nominations only in said threads, Jed. Once the voting thread goes up, you may shoot the breeze all you like in there. Have fun in the voting thread- just please don't crap up the nomination threads each month.

5. Do not post pictures of contestant’s cars if they didn't take time to submit their own pictures. If something came up and they don't have time to submit a picture, they can contact Smoothgrandmama, and he *may* make an exception for the right reason and insert a picture after the vote started.

6. Members are allowed to make one nomination only!

7. One win per year, starting in January of each year. If you own more than one car, it's still 1 win per year per registered MM member. Not per car.

8. No campaigning for ROTM. If you are caught you will be disqualified from ROTM for 1 year. You are allowed a simple notice in your signature with a link to ROTM like so: "Hey, check out ROTM and all the cool cars. Give a car you like a vote! *ROTM LINK* <<clickyclicky!"

9. No begging, bribing with rep, asking for nominations, if you're caught doing so, you'll be disqualified from ROTM for one year. We can't prove if you've been campaigning via pm, but remember this ain't a democracy. Word usually filters around on the internet. If we find out you've been doing so, again, you will be DQ'd from ROTM for 1 year.

10. Some members complain ROTM is a popularity contest, and isn't about the car. Fact is, the whole idea for ROTM is to promote forum interest & activity. So yes, someone who is more active, and well known around the forum, is going to get more votes than someone less well known. So get out there and post, help people, and above all else please remember this: HAVE FUN PEOPLE! Don't take this stuff so darn seriously.




What's that about prizes? Well, it's early days, and the staff here will always push for what we can, but as of right now, ROTM winners will win 1 year free premium membership to MM, and a 1 in 6 chance at oil change supplies from Quaker State. For more details, PM Smoothgrandmama.
