I am looking for a Mustang for my daughter and I saw your 89 5.0 coupe. The car looks very nice and with it being an Automatic it would work well for her. Being from the Tidewater area I was familar with the name, "Wicked Paint" so I knew the car was local. But it is sad to say with comments like this;

N ur right, an unmollested car should hold its value more. But u came onto a modded mustang site. The 5 lug conversion does make ur car worth more by the y. and u have still to put the amount of miles on the car up. The only reason u've gotten such a hard time is because u left so much unsaid. For all we know that car could have 250k with a fresh paint job and inew interior parts. A unmolested hard top notch on LI sells for about 3 grand on the island. Tops. My friend just bought a 89 convertible 5 speed, 60k for 1900 bux. Car was spotless. thanku. I come from a family of car salesmen dude. If u tried to sell me a car talking like that i would have turned right around. People on this site were only giving u there opinions, which were solid ones. we weren't calling u names, i may admit i may have asked u to shave my balls, but that was only after u told fellow members to go fuck themselves. If really wanted to sell ur car on the net, u'd give more information then what u have.

If it had been a stick I would have jumped on it. Even the wheels, although they look funny, aren't the usual Cobras or other wheels that you see on 90 percent of fox bodies, which in my book is a plus. I don't think its (100%) the price of the car, but the sales pitch itself that got everybody upset. By the way if I got it, it would be modded to the hilt, which is why we want them cheap. Good luck selling it. Its a good looking car. Somebody will be glad to have it at that price or close to it. __________________

Yeah, you are right there. You hit it on the head earlier when you said this is a modded mustang site. We are looking for cheaper cars to mod the way we want, or cars with some of the mods we are planning. But you can't blame the guy for trying. They aren't really that cheap on E-bay. I know I have been looking for one for some time now.

Well it's not. It's worth exactly what it's worth. Now, say if his car was in mint condition, but had a blower on it, she'd be worth 6-7 grand. Things like that make the value go up. I paid 1200 less for mine, mine has leather, is a convertible, had 62k at the time, and is 7 years newer. I think that the price he's asking is an insult. And I want it fully known, that i DO NOT retract my statement of him shaving my balls. As a matter of fact, i'll even let him shave my ass crack too while he's at it. wicked paint - beautiful car man, but there is no way you will get asking price.. where i live, you would maybe get $5,000 if you found the right person to sell it to.. i just think $8,000 is just flat out crazy, but like i said, its definitely a beautiful car and i wish it was mine

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. I grew up on car lots and have a family of saleman and have worked for a few dealerships. Until u state the mileage of ur car, the condition of title, wether its salvage rebuild flood or whatnot, ur car is worth $1 dollar. If u were to pull into the ford dealership were my grandpa used to work, they would give u 1k for ur car just to be nice cxause she's super clean. Then they would go jack the price of the new gt u just bought, somewhere along the lines. 50 bux here and 50 bux there really start to add up. Thats prolly y u didn't trade, cause u knew what would happen. I did breaze through the begining of the post, and didn't notice u had gears in the car. Now i'm not saying ur car is juink, cause it's not, she's super clean and i wish my first stang was that clean. But she's only worth 3 grand man, 3500 if u find the right person. Atleast in my area. And thats if ur under 100k. The reason u got such an unwarm welcome is because of the way u responded to our criticism. U camed to a modded mustang site bro, this is the wrong place to try and rip someone off. (I'm not saying it was ur actual intention) I'm sure ur the first owner and have babied her and feel ur price is fair. Especially if u paid full price back in 89 for the car. I personally think loosing that much money sucks, but its the way thing works. I know a guy with a 95 cobra, bought her brand new, and in hte past 12 years has dropped over 30 k into her. His car is worth 6 grand now, 8,500 with all the mod in it. U never ever get back anywhere close to what u put in. But to a member here the price ur asking, especailly combined with the fact u won't tell us the mileage, is a rip off. then i got this just want to ask you a question if you know so much... how much is my 07 going to be worth in 20 years with no miles on it... were puttin it in storage this week its got a 110 miles on it ... wanted to ask so that so that i dont ask too much for it in 20 years I'm not trying to be a dick to him. Not once was it my intentions to insult him. U posted on a public forum and u left information out, and have come off with a cocky attitude. If Goober paid 8050 for an 01, then that Fox Body has to be worth at least 10,000. But hey there are a couple red Foxes on Ebay right now with sticks and welds going for around 5000. They look sharp too. Just that the welds are 4 bolts, thats whats holding me back on those. One of them claims 400+ hp. Oh yeah, just kidding Goober.

But now I'm serious, go put a fricking blower on ur car dude, tune it, then come back and ask for 8500. U'll get it. I'm so glad u don't live in my state, cause i would personally drive to where ever u have ur car for sale, put a for sale sign on mine asking 1 k less, and i have a convertible.
Oh, and by the way, asking price is a different price then what u really want for it. If u would have been straight foward and told us everything about the car, and then been realistic with ur price, say asking 6 expecting only around 4800.......which in my opinion is still to much, but hey, we live in dif states. I can go down the street and buy
