1996 Mustang GT

I have a 96 GT. Its a great car, but I just found out that I am leaving for Korea for a 3 year tour instead of 1.

-The car is lowered with StangSuspension.com springs
-New shocks in the rear
- 18x9 GunMetal Saleen wheels wrapped in 275x35xR18 Rapters, less then 1000 miles
- Prodjector headlights
- Brand new paint job as of March 2007.
- cobra r hood
- Silver face gauges
- 05 shift knob
- mac CAI
- Pro Products Polished 75mm TB
- Pro Products Polished Plentum
- BBK polished underdrive pulleys
-Mac Long tube headers
-Shorty H-pipe
- Flowmaster exhaust

parts I have, yet still to go on
-a set of 2003 PI heads, very clean
-Comp Cams and valve springs, new still in box
-billet alluminum gauge bezel
- Off road X-pipe, just replaced with L/T headers and shorty H-pipe

car is in great Shape, Royal Purple oil changes, 145K miles. Alot of miles but runs strong! Leaving for Korea for a 3 year tour and dont want to see it rot away.

Well i have come to the conclusion that i am going to never get what i want for the car, and i will loose too much money. So I am going to keep the car, Ihave to rebuild the motor when i get back anyways....i am goin to do everything i can to get my orders changed and only have to go for 1 year instead of 3. I like this car way to much, its paid off as well, might as well keep it.

hey 97 Cobra...Do you know what the ride height is on your coil springs? I have drop coil springs and now that i have my long tube headers, they scrub. I am looking at my options, maybe getting some cobra coil springs or something, but GT stock ride height is to high!

mwahaha I sold my stockers for 100 bucks. Some guy in a 94 gt wanted them. Even after I told him they aren't any different than his. lol

CaintcatchmyGT - man that is one good lookin GT. Definitely a big fan of red and that body style *points to my sig* and the Cobra hood kicks ass I must say. Amongst everything else you've done with the car so far.

You aren't the only Sn95 owner here with a lowered car having issues with scraping the L/Ts either. Makes me apprehensive about buying mine until I do a little more research.

Good lookin car and wise desicion to keep her in the family. Good luck in Korea bro. Just go and get a great car cover, unplug the battery, prop the doors open a crack to preserve the seals, and put some fuel conditioner in and she'll be ready for your return. Just have someone start it up for ya every now and again to keep the thing properly lubricated.
