1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX for sale

LX 5.0 Hatch w ponies 111k miles. Original miles, motor never rebuilt. I think it has forged pistons, not sure. Runs as strong as when I bought it. Only thing ever replaced I think under the hood is alternator/belt. Never any running problems, less than my 91 Honda Accord. Car runs 85 mph at 2500 rpms. Stock rear end gearing. Not sure exactly what ratio- 2.73 or 3.08, something like that(?).

I have ran NOS on the car and it runs completely strong still. No smoke, no wierd running.. I havent ram-rodded the car. It has a 125 shot NOS. It has stock pony rims w center caps. It is manual, has cruise control. Everything on the inside works since I last drove the car. It has been sitting in my garage and I was restoring it. The inside is wout any carpet stains, no cracked dash or broken parts.

I restored it almost all the way. It needs a few things to be finished:

front/rear emblems. fuel sending unit (gas gauge), sensor for tranny, paint pony rims, new bumpstop for hatch lock. new radiator (small crack was soldered). stereo (CD Player)

There are a few parts that I have but only need to be installed:

tranny. exhaust, rear brake light, NOS bottle. speedo cable/gear (works but makes noise under dash)

The car has 3 chamber flowmaster, 125 shot NOS, K&N filter, K&N short-throw shifter, progressive rate BBK lowering springs (should get some camber caster plates to even out the tire tread), pretty much stock besides that.

The NEW parts while restoring:

Paint, rebuilt tranny, new quarter windows, all weatherstripping, cowl grille, front lights (clear corners), front bumper is new.

The car is really nice. It has 27% (i think) tint. Not dark 5% and not too light. It also has new upgraded rear speakers. Just needs CD Player or stereo.. Though it looks like theres a stain in the driver's seat, Im almost positive its just the pic. I cleaned the seats very well.
The car has a ok alarm system on it. U can see the horn next to the air filter. The car has only a few dings. I had the doors filled in at the time I painted it. The front hood has minor imperfections where rocks hit it before it was painted. There is no damage to the front bumper, it is new. I replaced the valve cover gaskets once, no oil leaks of any kind are known. I run mobil 1 synthetic thru it, have been for maybe half its life w me. Ive owned this car since I was 18 in highschool. Im 28 now. It had 47000 miles on it then, I think.

Im located in Smyrna Ga (Atlanta ga) in USA. It would need to be picked up or shipped by the buyer.

Im asking $4000.

Nice looking car. What all needs to be finished to drive it back to Orlando. Or will it have to be trailered?

Pic of the trans diagram. It needs the backup switch and the pin. The car now needs to be trailored. I can see if my bro can install the rest if its too hard to trailor. It will run perfect after that. The hatch needs that bumpstop so ull have to tie down the back. (ive checkd the latch, works good. I think its the new weatherstripping and the worn bumpstop)

I think the sensor can be put in while the trans is installd. IVe got it partial in the car already!

The nos can be taken out real easy, its just a braded line up the side of the inside, and some silenoids under the hood prety much. I am pretty firm on the price right now so u might as well take the NOS too.

I cant see myself dropping the price w out the nos really, the car is pretty nice w our wout it. If I dont sell it soon Ill restore the car completely and sell it later.

The NOS I would prbly sell for aournd 250. If 03 is interested.. Its a steal at this price for the car I think. Other people at another forum say I should ask more for the car. But, well see.

I have the antenna for the car, the hatchback inside tarp thing, and other small stuff that goes w the car. I may have the NOS manual lying around, dont know. The NOS should work perfect. Heres a pic of the bottle:

Theres two switches for the NOS, one for the activation, one for the bottle release valve (bottle openner). I have a custom (of some sort ) plate w it installed under the drivers dash. It fits good there, no additinal drilling. U can see it in the inside pic above barely. ON the right of the gas pedal.

ITs a shame I never got to try it.

So, hows that sound? Let me know if your intrested 03.

You can pick up that striker from your local parts store and fix the deck lid for like $8.00. I wouldn't tie it down!

thnx man! I thought they were like 15 bucks or so last I looked, but I dont know where the heck I looked..! lol i ll have to pic one up. know where I can go ?

I think u have to be careful to get the right size striker etcetra. It has to be a certian size to lock right .. I think it has to have the plastic piece around the cylinder. anyways,,

I will go to a mustangs resto place or catelog for it probly.. if this is the case.

AGAIN, this car is STILL AVAILABLE! I am taking offers, I want to sell this car today!! thnx
