Rick's Car Care

Well, i got my gears put it yesterday by Rick (Twist2go), and i can't tell you how happy i am. the install was quick and Rick came with me for a test drive to ensure that the gears made no noise. any other shop i could think of, especially a dealer would've just thrown me the keys after i paid. all the guys on this site who recommended him to me, especially ChrisJ, weren't exaggerating about Rick. so in the futurre, if you're in the Hampton Roads area and you need some work done, give Rick a call. you won't regret it. Thanks again Rick, and I'll be back for an alignment after the new springs go in! Danny

Just got the car back today, runs great. Taking it easy for the 500 break-in miles is already killing me!!!

If you guys can fit me in, I think I might bring it in on Thursday and get the oil changed after 50 miles.... I've been reading up on engine break-in and it's highly recommended from what I've read to get the oil changed right away, i.e. 50 miles....

Then at the 500 mile mark I'll just change the oil and filter myself.

Thanks guys!

it was already changed after running about 30 mins. so you shouldn't need it again so soon. It's up to you though. Just let me know what ya want to do.

I don't know what the recommended mileage is between gear oil changes... I'm curious myself now...

Ford doesn't recommend an interval but most manufacturers say 20-30K
