Warning don't trust these guys


JMS Chip & Performance Center

They fucked up my mmr mod 900 motor on the dyno. What they did was install a Kenny bell booster pump but did not upgrade the stock fuse.
They fuse pooped on the dyno at 6000rpm leaned out the motor. broke a spark plug and melted the rings ont the #3 piston.
They wanted me to pay them to fix it.

It has gone way beyond that.
I trailered the car to tampa to get it repaired.
JMS said they would not take care of it. Unless I paid for the rr
I have given them every chance.
Now it is time to let the world know.
JMS sucks.

man man you too. they tuned my 03 cobra ok. the guy steve stickler, is a dick on the phone hangs up on you rude as hell. big prick!. monty tuned my ported eaton setup the 1st timne i was haapy .
than i got a 2.6 k/b ok. i got every thing from them install it myself. well the bap wasnt in the box. and it was unopened when i picked it up. steve swore it wasin the box ''ok the box was not opened'' dumbass. well thy sent me a bap the following week , ok the pulley that i wanted on it was wrong also it had a 3.5 on it, i wanted a 3.25 and a 3.00 for race gas.
anyway i called them to see how to wire up the bap ok. they told me to it like the k/b inst said, i said woith the vac swicth. ? and what about the wire up grade , thay said you dont need the wire upgrade.
so anyway i drove there 362 miles round trip to get tuned .
monty was tuning it after 3 hours he had the 93 gas tune down ok , i said whats my timing at ? he said 17 deg. and i said what about my fpdc %. he said i was fine. well that tune netted only 565/505 on a dyno jet ok.
so we where going to do the race gas tune next , i drianed the tank i puti n my 104 unleaded gas. with the 3.00 pulley , the was running it thought the gears the car started bucking and jerking like crazy. he got out the car slammed my door and see how you got this bap wired up. i said like steve told me to. well they got one of there mech's to check it out said it was hooked up right. monty said well its getting late and you got a problem we dont know what it is? you prob. need focus pumps. than bring it back and we will tuned it again for 310 bucks.
monty said i went ahead and put you a race gas tune in there too.

ok more... i got all my fuel stiff from lethal, called amazon. drive 630 there to get himt o install teh fuel system. we checked the program that jms had on the swicth chip i had, he said monty dailed in 21 deg timing way too much. my motor would have been toast , and a matter of time . aslo rick said the race gas tune he set up was 'the same program as the 93 tune''
JMS SUCKS!

i went to amazon and look at my #'s below now.

steve is the biggest prick there , he can do no wrong , i just wonder if chip johnson knows whats going on there? someone needs to contact him directly, they got morons working there , i dont think they ever tuned a k.b b4?

they had another guy bring his 96 ish gt up there to get worked on and tuned . when i was therer , he said the same thing about steve s. being a dick!.
he had a procharger on it they installed jms , said it would have 550 hp , it never seen above 450. he was pissed . he left b4 they socalled finshed my tune. so he didnt know my outcome...shitty tune.
i heard lots of bad thing about jms after the fact , just like rpmoutlet ? sucks never order from them,e mail returns takes 100 days, and over 50 e mails to them , most never got returned.

AMAZON! is my tuner for life!

Ya I do all my work myself....sux dude hope it works out....I have a KB 2.6 but went with 83 lb injectors, with an Areomotive 2000 pump and a return fule system. Lean is not got.

im pushing the word since last week , when i sen this i was like wow. !!! anohter unhappy coustomer. im sure chip doesnt know wants going on , i heard from another persn that was tralieing his car up there from out off town got lost , he called and called and got no answer. he than found the place when he walked in the door they had 3 people sitting around laughing at the caller id onthe phone. i would have been out of there , he i guys lost . calls no anwser , find place to find them holding the phone in ther hard giggling like a bunch of 6 year old girls. i can see that too. sorry bout to the typos i mess up more when im mad

This info sucks big time. SCT uses JMS as a model for tuner dealers when they want to demostrate how profitable the tuner business can be. It's all about customer service. I won't get into who did what and when but right is right, if something they did (wrong fuse) caused the failure, they should fix it. They did the install then tuned the system, bite the bullet and fix the b*tch...

I understand you are pissed about having a blown motor, especially if it was caused by a mistake to replace a fuse, but talking trash all over the internet is not always the best solution. The tuning industry is pretty small, word gets around quick, and problematic customers get "marked". Personally I'm not a fan of the BAP and would rather upgrade the fuel system.

sorry but I can not disagree with you more, if it was me after my wife came get me out of jail for kicking somebodies ass, I would do the same thing to save someone else some heart ache, if they just screwed up my 4k dollar motor and then tell me it is my problem, that doesn't cut it with me sorry. if the fuse should have been changed as per the installation manual and looked over until it blew causing the motor problem then that is there fault and they should live up to it. if they can't own up to it why would I want someone else to have this happen to hear about it again when I could have stopped it by speaking up. if they would black ball me O F'ing WELL they have plenty of good tuners out there that know what they are doing to worry about pissing one off.

sorry but that is how I feel, and I am behind him 110% on getting the truth out here for other people to learn from it

The fact that the tuning industry is so small is exactly why information like this is necessary. He said he went through the proper channels initially, asked them to fix it because it was their fault, they refused so now they get hit in the pocket book. Litigation would solve little except to waste both party's time and money for over a year. I highly doubt that tuners would pass around information on customers and have them "flagged" for something like this. I'm fairly certain with a story like this, another tuner would laugh in the face of this company and be more than willing to pick up the extra business from an unhappy customer.

Sucks to hear all this, thanks for the heads up, they won't ever see business from me or anyone I know.
