Tidewater guys interested in a car club

Yea, so I had a meet tonight, that pretty much fell through, and I've been doin some thinkin. I'm findin a lot of cars, but they are driven by people I really don't want to be associated with, and I need some more knowledgable guys who know how to have a good time. So then this brilliant idea came to me...Why not ask the guys on mm? So any of you guys who are interested in a car club, that has no fees, meets once a month(second saturday of every month...thinkin bout makin it twice a month.), runs on a respect system, and has some interesting guys then ya'll should talk to me, because I would like to put some faces to names from this board, and get some nice cars on my car club. Any questions feel free to ask.

yeah, i had actually been looking into the southeastern virginia mustang club but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. i think we should all get together. that'd be great. my new nextdoor neighbor has a 93 with a 351 in it, and he's planning on bringing it down from NY soon, and i'm sure he'd be down with a car club, too

just my opinion but mustang clubs are gay, i just saw a bunch of the svmc guys at jenros with all there neon lights under there mustangs and blaring there systems and they looked like a bunch of dorks that should be driving imports. I say just meet some people and just have friends that drive mustangs, you don't need a damn club to do that. I have about 25 friends that drive mustangs and we hang out and meet up at jenros but we sure as hell aren't in a club. I say just ask if some mustang guys would like to meet up to hang out cause if you start a club you are asking to get made fun of by the real enthusiests

Were not a mustang club. I have it set up so that we are just a bunch of guys who love cars, and just hang out. We talk about whats goin on with our cars, whos doin what, whats in the future, etc. We just take a day out of the month to just hang out, and have a good time.

maybe i misunderstood. i was thinking something along the same lines, just people with a common interest hanging out, whatever. i didn't think cricket meant we could sit around sipping brandy smoking cigars or anything, cause i think that would be kinda gay. definitely nothing that involves us wearing funny hats or matching jackets

If you wanna wear funny hats and matching jackets thats fine, but I don't think your gonna match with anyone. This is just a group of guys who likes to have fun, work on our cars, talk about them, help each other out and all that. A better way for us meet some new people in the area with the same interests.

What you said right there says you want to make a car club, not just hanging out and stuff like that. If anything just set up a mm meet from the tidewater area or something but to say we are going to have meetings means that its a club. Anyone can do what they want on the board but i am not showing up to anything that resembles a club meeting cause i don't want to be associated with a car club. Cause i have yet to see one that isn't

and i am saying that from experience cause i was the vp of a club when i first got my car cause i thought it was cool, and i guess guys that just get there mustangs would think the same thing. But hey people learn from there mistakes.

Ha, I was just about to post a thread about something along these lines...

I was going to say that I've been looking into all the car clubs in our area around here, and I've found three:

Mustang and Ford Club of Virginia (Norfolk)
Mustang Club of Tidewater (Chesapeake)
Southeastern Virginia Mustang Club (Virginia Beach)

Why there are three in our area, I'm not sure. These are all Regional Clubs of Mustang Club of America.

Is anyone on here a member of any of these three clubs? Can anyone recommend one over the other two? I'm interested in joining one, and they are all about the same distance from me.

As far as doing some Virginia Beach mm.com gatherings, I'm down. Let's do it. Anyone been out to Jenro's yet? I heard it was PACKED last Saturday.

If you've never been it's quite a sight. On a really nice day EVERYONE comes out and the place gets packed. It's pretty much an unofficial car show. There's always tons of nice cars there and everyone is usually really respectful, the dumbass high school kids usually stay away, and there isn't stupid shit like burn outs or people revving their engines everywhere.

I am already in a car club, but it is not exclusive to any particular vehicle. We meet once a month and usually alternate between va beach and hampton. The club is called Kausin Komotion and is a second chapter to the main chapter in roanoke va. We are just getting this chapter up and running but so far both of my vehicles are in it, a nissan sentra spec-v, a 2006 mazda 3 hatchback, a 2004 mazda 3 hatchback, and 2 mazda 3 sedans. I guess the good thing is that mazda is made by ford, LOL.

we have a my space page if you want to check it out. we dont do any gay shit if you are wondering. we do have shirts available and we pay dues each month to provide for shirts, our banner we are having made, etc.

some people are into this, some are not. we all just enjoy cars and showing what we have done with them.
