va members :(


im stuck and feel pretty stupid. my registration expires end of this month and when i try to renew it says i need my title number... should be on registration (dont have it lol) or registration renewal (also cant find it)

so yes im an idiot but i need to process this so i get it in time; how am i going to figure out my title number?

who's holding the title?? Call them and ask for the number or call dmv they should be able to get you the number so you can register it.

i dont think the dmv will give me the title number; all the forms i could find say i need that # to get a new registration. lol i really am an idiot; ive been driving a whole year w/o a registration lol

there has to be a way to get it. they should either let you get one or the other or you have no way to pay the fees

they have to have the number. the car is registered somehow right? howd they do that to begin with. the title number.

registration is done with the VIN#.

i don't know the title #'s to any of my cars as i don't outright own them yet. so the title isn't in my possession.

All of the forms you need are available on the DMV's web site; the biggest thing for me is I always make sure I've got all my paperwork together before I go and wait for at least half an hour. Thank god I have my vehicles registered in Michigan... only time I ever have to go to the DMV here is for my boat.

i got the dealer to find it for me. at first they basically said go fuck yourself; but after i told them i was looking for a 4wd as a 2nd car (a lie) and they where helping me decide which dealer to go to they got alot more helpful.

called me back in 5 minutes with an apology and the number lol
