High Performance Driving - Virginia International Raceway

Hey guys,

I've got myself registered for the full course HPDE event at VIR this March 31, Apr 01 and Apr 02 and wondered if anyone else is going as well?

I haven't booked the hotel yet.

Oak Tree Hill watch out because here I come!

The host: NASA - Mid Atlantic Region

To register: If you've never had track time you have to start in HPDE 1

Registration is still open, but it will fill fast no doubt.

3.2 miles of open road course, no cops, no traffic and one HELLUVA straight-away.

I'll be in Pensacola, FL for Basic Digital Network Analysis school from March 12 to April 27. Yay for me. At least it's a good school, and I get to enjoy Pensacola.

ive always wondered, at race tracks, why do you have to tape your headlights? and whats with the number on the side.. wouldnt it have been easier to just write on the window with shoe polish lol

Looks like a blast!Great pics and vid. Does this happen every year? If so, I'm definitely in for next year. Car is completely stock, but hopefully by next year I will have done some mods. Single + dad= very little money.lol

The tape is used to prevent glass on the track if a rock bounces up and breaks the light.

Rain does not stop the event, shoe polish wouldn't last long in the rain.
In fact Sunday morning I had the pleasure of driving at race speeds in the rain.
Talk about 'PUCKER' up!

They have multiple events per year if you are interested check out NASA Mid-Atlantic.
The next event I'm going to attend is Summit Point.

Damn dude! It looks awesome! Did tommyboy ever make it out? I forgot to ask him. I'm pretty sure he registered, but might have been out to sea.

Next time this comes around our area I definitely want to do this.

I'm pissed I won't make the VMP day either!!!
