what to do in raliegh?

so for the first ncmm meet we are planning on having it in raliegh. i dont live in raliegh so i have no idea what there is to do around there. if anyone that lives in/around raliegh and has any suggestions for fun things we can do it would be greatly appreciated!

i will make a seperate thread for signing up for the meet once all the details are worked out.

This is gonna be sick!

There is ALOT of street racing in Raleigh... so I would think that a cruise would be a bad idea in the triangle as a big pack of mustangs will probably put up flags...

When are you guys planning this?
One of my favorite meet ideas has always been a dyno day. typically shops will rent out the dyno for the afternoon for pretty cheap and it gives you alot of exposure with the shop and everything.

Otherwise a dinner at a chili's or one of the restaurants at the mall is always fun. lots of parking and you get to cruise through the parking garage setting off car alarms on the way in and out...

just my 2 cents..

Dyno day would be pretty sweet if we could get that arranged. If not, I guess just eating somewhere is the next choice since im sure none of us want any trouble with cops or anything.

Were planning it for March as of now, and if anybody has any other suggestions dont hesitate to speak up

haha yea cops are the last thing we want! either a dyno or eating or both would be cool... the last cruise in i went to was at hooters, they have like a cruise in thing where they give you a discount on food and stuff like that. it was pretty fun but yea i dont want to be cruising and the cops are all around us. o well whatever we do it will be fun!

I really think one of the mall restaurants would be sweet... just picture how much absolute sound destruction could be had with a group of Stangs rolling through a parking garage. Car alarms will be setting off other car alarms it will be soooo loud!

Assuming its not all V6's that is! lol! no offense to you 3/4 guys!

Im not willing to sacrifice the car's body. I have to keep it looking as nice as possible since it doesnt really have anything else going for it

If my car doesn't stop shitting in my cereal I may just give the whole thing away! lol! JK!

On a serious note, if anyone wants to help with my 5.4 build up (still no answer on whether or not it will pass inspection) I will gladly donate my 4.6 parts that I don't need.

AS long as the 5.4 is the same age as or newer than the car I think youre good, but dont quote me on that. But i dont think id be able to help since just making this little trip might end up being a challenge lol

It's pretty much a code check right? Cause I'll be boosted. I'll be pissed if I have to stock it out for inspection!

Ya, as far as i know they just check to make sure youre not throwing any codes, and then they visual inspect the safety features of your car.

Ya hopefully! I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a lenient garage..

I'm in Raleigh. Probably meeting at a restaurant around mall would be good. Triangle Town Center off of US 1/Capital Blvd. has plenty of parking around the restaurants. It's usually not as crowded as the other malls in town. I'm not sure about a dyno.

Oh, btw, I also have a garage not far outside of Raleigh that is usually pretty lenient on inspections. He's a good friend of my brother-in-law.

That'll be sweet. Just off the top of your head can you name any specific restaurants they have there? Maybe we could start voting on which restaurant to eat at.
