People from north west Georgia, north east Alabama, and South Tennessee
Is there anyone here near the corner of where these 3 states meet willing and able to help a fellow with the installation of control arms and a panhard bar?
Food, drink, or a little money are possible for reimbursement. I am about 45 minutes west of Chattanooga, Tn. Nashville people are within my range also b/c I24 is pretty much a straight shot up there from where I am. Atlanta is pretty far, but I suppose it would be do able. Same with Birmingham. They are both about 3 hours according to Google. Knoxville could also be within range. It's about 2:45 away. Thanks

In addition to the control arms and PHB, I do have an exhaust catback sitting in the box which would also like to become one with my car

Bump. Hopefully someone close by will come out and help. You should cut your springs while you're under there. I have two friends with S197's that did that and it looks great and drives just the same. Nothing like a free mod.

I am planning on getting lowering springs and dampners eventually, but I don't have enough money now for those parts too. Depending on how long the installation of the CA's, phb, and possibly exhaust take, cutting the springs could be possible. A small drop would be nice.
Thanks for the bump. Those are pretty impressive power numbers and 1/4 time. |

I'm pretty sure they just cut off a coil, and the stance is perfect.

Do you know if they removed the spring isolators too?

Here's how they sit. I think the stance is perfect:

I love getting toys in the mail. It's just like Christmas everytime.
Now go get to work.

If you don't get any local help, get a Haynes manual and follow the instructions. I think you'll find that it's not that hard to do at all.

![]() Yeah I've looked at the installation directions a few times, and it doesn't seem hard, if you have the right stuff. My exhaust was put on today.

I must ask you why you are installing a PHB and leaving the UCA's? You can at least remove the drivers side one to aid up on axle articulation. If you can afford it, go the rest of the way and do a TA to rid yourself of those little heathens
![]() Jazzer ![]() PS. If I could find a set of backroad-twisties that would get me all the way over there, I would volunteer to help for sure
