Good speed shop around Tampa FL?

I just bought some 4.10's and subframe connectors. I called around looking for a place to have them installed and got no real answers. For a gear install quotes ranged between 150 to 400$ + parts, others had no clue. Also nobody had even heard of subframe connectors. The only place willing to work with the subframes was muffler shops. Nobody seemed to specialize in anything but general repair. Any suggestions?

Where exactly in the Tampa area? I use a place called Realspeed, they have done my gears, my auto to manual swap, full MM suspension and various other things for me and I get quality work everytime. They also only work with mustangs. But they are in Palm Harbor.

Well I just noticed your in Holiday, Realspeed should be perfect for your needs, they are about 35 minutes away from you. (Im from the New Port Richey area). Ask for Walt.

I dont know of any but if you happen to find a good one please let me know as well. As I was wondering the same thing. You would think with Tampa and the surrounding area there would be all kinds of Performance shops around, but I guess the bike scene is more of where its at because there are alll kinds of bike places around.

There are plenty of shops.. For the subframes an exhaust shop will be your best bet.. It will be the cheapest there.. But there is coastal dyno, ramsys, fully built inc. (FBI), rev extreme, pro-fab performance..

I have heard some good things about realspeed, and rev extreme. Not familiar with the others. I am actually heading down to Port Richey today, and might stop in to take a look at the place.

Yeah there are quiet a few shops all with good reps, Realspeed, Ramseys, S&R Performance (more ricer but know a lot of stangs who get work done there).

For all you local Tampa area guys check out thestanggang.com we are a local Mustang club, can get plenty of advice on where to go from there.

FBI is a good shop i get alot of work done there.. They are pretty reasonably priced.,. Ac miller used to work with them and he did work on my car to but he moved.. And ramseys and coastal are really really good to..

Ok yeah, I forgot about the Mosi show. They are doing the Bike Fest and Car Show in Palm Harbor as well. Usually has a really good turnout, im not sure its this saturday though.

Just an update on my original question. I had my gears and flsfc installed by realspeed. Good prices; gears-250,flsfc-100. They had it done in one day. I had a concern about a little gear whine a few days later and went back to them and went for a test drive had a long conversion with Walt, and he quelled my worries, as far as I can tell they are stand up people. Thanks' everybody or the referral.

I read that speed shops are the ones that reprogram the PCM and I need a speed shop or anyone to do this for me. Does anyone out there know where I could get this done? Please help. I called New Import Speed Shop and they said no and do not know anyone that does.

I know this is an old thread, but Rev extreme is a JOKE. Tracey fabs out most of his work to others and his "shop" is a storage unit. If you are in tampa, a 60 mile drive south to Sarasota has Kesatie motorsports. Great work, honest and up front. Does anything and everything, has his own dyno, and does his own tuning.
