This is going to be a blast. This is street style racing that is legal. Our club has set up a Track Rental for bragging rights with one of our Nemesis, the GTO. The GTO boards have several pages of "smack talk" as well as our local club's board. There is a limit of 40 cars each for a total of 80 competitors to burn up the track in Gainesville Fl. This event is family oriented but I'm sure there will be plenty of grief going back and fourth between us.

Right now, we have 6 open spaces for Mustangs. It doesn't matter what year but it must be a street car. No full race cars will be allowed. However, you may trailer you car if it's more convenient.

If you interested in racing, post up here and I'll send you the info and the links to sign up. Or, if you just to come watch and cheer for the Stangs', we'd love to have ya. I promise, you won't want to miss it.

OK boys and girls, the deposit is made. Sept 8th, 2007 from 9:00am to 3:30pm Gates open at 8:00am and we have to be out of the gate by 4:00pm. Gates reopen that night at 4:30pm for a normal test and tune and we can't be on the grounds at that time. The track will be prepped just like any other test and tune event. Any extra track prep will be an additional fee. There will be time slips available. Normal tech inspection prior to running so make sure you have long pants and a helmet and any other safety gear that you would normally need at any other event (See the Gainesville Raceway Rules & Tech Requirements in the Drag Racing Forum). If you don't have what you need you will not be allowed to run and you won't get a refund - it will be your hard luck. This is Now a full on event and we can do what we want. In the event of rain prior to the 9:00am start time, the event will be rescheduled for another day - no refunds. If it rains in the middle of the day we will get rescheduled for a half day but may incur the expense of staff for that half day event. YES WE WILL HAVE CONCESSION STANDS. Spectators are allowed and encouraged, the track will be collecting $5.00 per person that wants to come and watch. No Race fees will be collected at the gate. Drivers and Cars will have something to prove they paid to get them and their car through.
