i can understand staying in to finish a degree, it's not a bad idea. it was real hard for me to turn down that tasty re-enlistment bonus. 75 grand is nothing to sneeze at, but i couldn't do it just for the money. to me, that's the wrong reason and it's not good enough to go back to sea duty for another 4 or 5 years. not to mention the fact that IA's are going to become mandatory. fuck that. if i wanted to sit in the desert digging sand out of my ass, i'd have joined the Army or Marine Corps.

Best thing I ever did was get out. I miss the buffoonery sometimes but then I sit back smoke a bowl and think about how much better it is now... just kidding... It is usually a joint not a bowl

i know what you mean. i know i'll miss the guys i've worked with more than anything else. hopefully, when i look back on it, i'll remember the good and not the bad.

hmm if i could relate to this....i would...but i've never been on duty nor will i ever think about it.
