true. i fault her for speeding, but the fines that they have created in this state are rediculous.

Yeah I saw that video at work the day it came out, it was pretty crazy seeing that on the news. I wish she would have fought it.

omg i really hate these new fines and the fact that people from out of state don't get fined is even more redundent

Well wouldn't you agree that even though the people from out of state were driving on VA roadways, they shouldn't be charged the additional fine since the money is going towards fixing those roadways?

I'm not sure VA could charge out-of-state people even if they wanted to though..... since the law is a state one?

good point but i read the paper and watch the news about this closley (not saying you dont) but the biggest reason of not taxing the out of state people is because this place is all about the tourist and tourism is acctually declining in VA beach and thats where this state makes ALOT of money so why would they scare off the out of state people??? makes no sense but they can charge us because we have to live here or were going to move in witch a 1000 dollar ticket isnt worth moving but then again most people can;t afford that all the time either i make decent money but if i was slapped with one of those fine i would be in debt up to my eye balls

It is looking like they might get rid of it anyway. Even though I live in VA but am not a "resident" and don't have to pay the fines, I hope they get rid of this stupid law.
