October 13 (Friday night) Dragway Trip?

So, who's going and where? I'm game. Someone let me borrow some slicks, I'll get her in low 12's.

Virginia is just stupid...If there is a chance of snow they cry and shut everything down...But I dont think it will snow...We normally dont get snow will dec - feb...

But the tracks just set that date to close down every year...I remember last year I made plans to go the first friday in november I think and I drove up there and the place was closed...So I drove home and was forced to drink a few beverages...

I thought the plan was to hit up VMP on the 14th?

If that's not the plan then I'll go drag with you but I was kind of looking forward to seeing VMP.

Ed, any more on Ryan?
Think he will make it?

Where is VMP? I'm pretty much game for anything, I guess I just assumed Richmond.

Cool... I had heard about that place but never realized it was so close! I'll go... only two hours from me in Norfolk per Google directions. Wait, that's at the speed limit.

For me it's 88.5 mi (about 1 hour 43 mins) as opposed to going to RIC drag at 56.4 mi (about 1 hour 3 mins)

Now I need to find a helmet to borrow, I won't be buying one this month and from what I understand they really enforce the helmet rule.

You HAVE to have a helmet at VMP?

They dont really inforce the helpmet rule...Now if you hit low 12's they might say something...But I have NEVER seen them inforce the rule...

If they tell you that you have to put on a helmet or leave...You can brag about getting kicked out for being to fast...

Ok that's cool then.
I've just heard other folks complain about it.
It's worth a shot at least.

I doubt tech will be an issue. I normally remove my helment on the return road and have it off by the et shack and no-one has ever questioned me having a helmet. Tech inspection at any track around here is really a joke, all they want is your $$$$$$$$, so if you can pay, you can race.

guys, I went to Outerbanks Raceway in Crestwell, NC last night. It's about 30 miles past Northeast. Perfect place for T&T. Track is well prepped and HOOKS!!!!!!!! Best part is there were only about 30 cars last night. I got 5 runs in about 2 hrs and they had at 2 oil-downs. I was never more than 3 cars deep in the staging lanes all night long. And did I mention it hooks? At VMP, Richmond, or NE, my car usually 60ft's a 1.54-1.63. Last night it was consistent low 1.4's on drag radials. My times were 6.23's or 6.26's all night long, which equates to around 09.80's. I wish now I had upgraded my NX system last week......another hundred shot would put me deep in the 9's I think.
