Cruizin the coast

I had a guy from mississippi start workin with me a while back and he has talked me in to goin to cruizin the coast this october. Is anyone else here planning on going? And if you've been before, how badass is it?

it's awesome brah. i was down there last year visiting my family while it was going on. badass cars all over the place

you plannin on making it this year? the guy i'm goin with is a LS fanatic. need some backup so i don't hear a bunch of "you shoulda got a SS" bullshit

I'll be there. I've been going for a few years. It's a really good time! It use to be a free-for-all but lately the cops have tightened up a little.
When I say free-for-all, you'd see full drag cars, big slicks, wheelie bars, open headers cutting up on the street. They still do but you see more blue lights now. They will never crack down too much because from what I hear Cruising the Coast brings in something rediculous like $14m for that week to Mississippi.
We should get a group of people to meet up, they also have a track day

I have been goin every year w/ my parents for like 10yrs now. Its so much fun. Yeah that cops have tightened down alot from what it used to be. But if your good you can stand out buy the road and get people to do burnouts.lol. Yeah Im one of those guys. There are so many b/a cars out there man. You won't regret going. LIke 01gt4.6 said full out drag cars and some pretty nice street car. Youtube it. There are some nice videos out.

You should go! Took the family last year for 4 days. If you're into classics, street rods, etc. You'll see about 5,000 of them. Basically hot rods that the owners aren't afraid to drive and get dirty. Mississippi is spending a lot of money to replace that damaged by Katrina. Spent a weekend in Biloxi on Father's Day weekend, with my car in the regional Mustang and Ford show inside the Colesium. They are completely rebuilding the beach road, with curbs, parking, street lights. Nice. Jimmy Buffet is building the largest-yet Margaritaville resort and casino, but it won't be finished until 2010. There's some nice casinos, like Beau Rivage and Hard Rock - right on the water. You need to hurry to make reservations, cuase it's prolly filling up fast about now.

Did you know you can qualify your car to be in the cruise, even if it is younger than 25 years old? You have to have a certain number of modifications - engine, interior, body, etc.
