I see your trying my freezer method

Get back to me on if it works for you or not. What your gonna wanna do right after you get it out of the freezer is connect your 1tb and transfer everything over before it breaks again

I've never heard of the freezer method before, but I have used the tapping method in the past. When you hook it up, is it recognized at all in device manager? What methods are you trying when hooking it up to your computer?

the way in the video is how it is hooked up stock its just not all in its case and everything and the other way i tried was using this thing from a place online called coolgear which has a hookup for it to plug into then it runs it into a usb. either way both are using the usb in the end to get to the computer. i dont think it sees it at all in the system

and the leds that light up in the video are the lights that usually come on when its plugged in but they are supposed to stay on (its what lights up the ring on the outside of the WD case
