need a 757 person with tranny common sense
alrighty took my car up to a tranny shop in newport news Reliable Transmissions i just wanted a simple job done to just put in my new clutch and call it a day well they call me with some horse shit saying my tranny is basically shot and i need a rebuild kit new gears bearing and synchronizers I've been talking with chrisj and my old man and im pretty damn sure myself if all that shit was wrong with my tranny it would be leeking slipping gears and overall driving like shit but it doesn't and hasn't since i've own the car so what was going to cost me 225 is now totaling 450 cause i decided to get the master cylinder replaced cause i could possibly see that starting to fail and i was pretty jewed on getting the flywheel resurfaced for 100 dollars but im concerned now is will they put my clutch in and my quadrent and adjustable cable and firewall adjuster i can check the ladder 3 myself but does anyone on here have any tranny know how and would mind looking at my car i'll drive it to ya and buy ya a beer for the trouble

$450 seems like a helluva deal for a tranny rebuild. Take it to Rick's ftw.

i just got all that done in my car the guy charged me 400 to put in a clutch the cable firewall adjuster and quadrant so i say hit it

sweet thanks for all the feed back dudes im rather happy with the clutch and the way it feels right now and im pretty sure the tranny doesn't have that many things wrong with it....... but i do plan on getting the syconizers replaced in the coming months just as a precaution if anyone wants to direct me to a reliable place.......... also i'll be getting lowering springs sometime next month if someone wants to lend a hand.once again beer is on me
