the day just keeps on getting better and better...well, i'm not a daily road racer but every once in a while i try to rip it on the highway. earlier today, just minding my own business driving home from work when a honda civic and a toyota celica started revving behind me. i was kinda shaky if i should race bec. the roads were kinda slick due to snow melting. until they rolled their windows down and started talkin smack about mustangs. what would a guy with a v6 do? dammit! once and for all, i gave in. they left me on my 1st and 2nd gear, but gotta love the 3rd and 4th! smoked both of them until i came to my exit. stang 1, ricers 0. damn kids!

just a tip: if anyone here lives in illinois and drives on I-290, watch out for a white cobra, tinted windows, and a BEARS logo on the passenger side... he's a cop and looking for road racers. I've seen him pull over some camaros and several imports.

Juggalo, what kinda car were you driving when you beat the probe?

I owned a 93 probe GT, manual, and stock except intake, and I raced a 95ish model mustang GT and I stuck nose to nose with him. The probe only makes 165HP but you must remember they are a lot lighter than the stangs. I love the stang i have now, but in a way i miss the probe, it was a fun car to drive and was fast enough to burn the 4 bangers in town, and run with one mustang GT

i raced him in a 2001 mustang v6, and the 98 gt isnt as fast as you would think and add that to some one who dont know how to shift and u got nothing moving fast.

A turbocharged probe with some minor adjustments is hard to beat. Their light as hell compared to our larger stangs.

my body brett has a v6 probe. It has the mazda v6 swap which is the probe motor with mazda parts. THat thing puts a wooping on v6 stangs all day. Should hit low low 14s in the 1/4th Im guessing he beat a 14.8 prelude by like 4 cars.

my stepdad had one before he saw the light and got a charger. He would race my mom in her old stang on the freeway and the only way he could keep up was because of weaving and shoulder driving because in a straight line he couldnt keep up... fucker could turn tho, we still argue to this day about that car... it was a good car for the time considering its still faster than most modern day rice back in the 90's
