That sucks to hear, and it's time to turn up the boost on that Cobra.
When I first got my Mach, bone stock down to the paper filter plus I couldn't drive worth a shit, a guy in an '04 GT pulled up next to me and smashed me from a dead stop. I later found out he was running a 125 shot, and had a driver mod to boot! |

lol Mazda miata m5 looked stock except for duals but it really wasn't loud. At a light he res a little and I thought yay easy kill light turns green and he is gone like the back from the future car. So I see him at a gas station about 2 miles down the road pull in to talk to him. Ask what he has done he says, "Oh not much just a 351 Windsor."

a subaru "WRX" it was really a stage 2 sti with a custum tune (he deleted the sti body effects and emblems) the sad part was his all wheel drive launched him a car ahead of me and thats right where he stayed (bad driver) that one hurt specially since b4 the race everyone said he was stock
... and yea dude that sucks about the supra YOU GOTTA GET THAT SNAKE TO EAT THAT RICE ON SPEED AND ROIDS!!!

Way back when I was 16 I had a 383 Cuda with probably about 450 horse, and with a stall & 3:73's, it was a fairly fast street car.
This Italian dude pulled up beside me in a tubbed 66 Chevy II, bright orange, monochromatic paint scheme, with weld wheels, full racing interior, glass hood, fenders, and doors, and it was rumbling like a full race car. I knew I had no hope in hell, but we gave it a short blast form a light just for fun, and by the time I got up to 70 mph he was a speck in the distance. lol I actually got to know this guy, & it turned out he owned his own speed shop. His car had a roller cammed 350 in it with no juice, Brodix aluminum heads, an 850 double pumper, & an MSD ignition with a rev limiter chip in it set at 8200 rpm. The MSD was kind of cool, as back then there weren't too many of those around on the street. The Nova had a 4 speed toploader, and a Dana 60 with 5:13's. Turns out he was running 10's on street tires corked up, and low 9's on a slick, uncorked. Tony actually hired me, and I served 2 years of my mechanics apprenticeship in that shop. I helped him install a 4 speed Lenco in that car that he purchased from the US somewhere, & that thing was an absolute blast to operate. Lenco Racong Transmission

Will,
It was so nice to finally see a car enthusiast in the AV (rosamond nonetheless!) Love the color of your 'Stang and it sounded GREAT! Im sure with a pulley and some other bolt-ons it would have been a different story -fun race nonetheless. My supra is an auto with a PT-61 turbo, was running ~480-500rw that night. see ya around! |
